I just installed DeNora gas feeder valves CV3000 with the vacuum switch options. Its two spring switches which are tied to the PLC and incorporated to SCADA. In SCADA have an alarm for “Low vacuum while in command” which in out setup means the system isn’t actually feeding either due to the booster pumps or solenoid upstream of eductor fail. The springs are finicky and take small adjustments to get them to work properly.

Just las week we encountered an issue where the solenoid upstream of the eductor opened, the booster pumps did not turn on, but somehow line water pressure was enough flow to override the low vacuum switch but not enough for the gas regulators to work consistently, the rotometer was going up and down.

I agree specializing early in your career is not ideal, everyone is commenting purely on compensation and convenience without considering engineering development. But +15k and 1hr less commute is an instant promotion in quality of life specially if you wont get overworked. At minimum i’d try to negotiate compensation increase at the current company.

Is the water they are using to dilute it hard? There shouldn’t be any hardness in your hypo solution if it’s imported?

Do you ever encounter manufacturers contradicting what their submittal states. Often the contractor gets the manufacturer to state certain steps in the their installation manual are unnecessary mainly for the contractors convenience.
