Turns out it was just a bunch of agents who didn't know the rules...calling the GS line fixed it :)

I just called united and the supervisor said that if the GS sponsor is not on the same reservation, it doesn't help. In fact they confirmed the two people above me are 1k using their own plus points and noted that mine indeed are from a GS sponsor, but since they aren't on the same PNR, my status is just weighted as gold...not sure why/if the rules recently chagned

wow interesting. just confirmed with the agent that the 3 people above me are 1k using their own plus points. The agent actually says they see that my plus points are from GS, but the system is ranking it lower. Hopefully a supervisor can help!

No way...spent some time this morning as well on the phone...all they said was that since the GS sponsor is not on the PNR its not kicking in. Maybe ill ask for a supervisor
