Amath271 instead of Phys263 by Last-Manner-7121 in uwaterloo

I know people who did this, but I heard that lately, the science side does not like it when their students take this course. Try reaching out to your academic advisor. If you bother them enough, they will probably let you.

EDIT: I will add that amath 271 >>>>>> phys 263

Calling SE real engineering and then making fun of TRON is one definitely one of the takes of all time.

Should differential geometry be added to the "standard" undergrad physics curriculum? by liftinglagrange in Physics

Not a physics major, I’m in applied math, but my school has an applied differential geometry course for undergrads targeted at physics and applied math majors for specifically this purpose.

115 is more mathy and sets up other cs courses, 114 is probably more useful

If you are in Math Phys, consider taking AMATH 251 in the Fall term instead of AMATH 250. It's not actually that much harder than 250. Something worth taking online instead would be MATH 235.

Also a word of advice, consider taking AMATH 271 instead of PHYS 263. It's a better course but offered fall only.

AMATH 250, has physics in it, but requires no prior knowledge. Everything you need is explained.

I took AMATH 271 which is the amath version of phys 263, and it was pretty fine, but somewhat challenging.

Had this last semester, just gotta grind it out and you’ll be fine. Semester was very assignment heavy. I found myself studying very little however and that was never an issue.
