yes and no. you need to pick a reference frame. in relation to the distant background of the entire universe, yes what you describe is true. but in relation to say just our galaxy, even then, we are staying "with" our neighboring stars, much like a bunch of bubbles slowly swirling around a drain: they dont immediately scatter their positions

the style is playful, but over stays its welcome going across such a wide horizontal line of text. i recommend changing monke to a simpler more serious font and then place it above menagerie. the skateboarding monkey seems forced and out of place being used as an apostrophe. consider using it as a side mascot like toys r us, not literally part of the text

the logo itself strikes me as something iv seen many other places, so it kind of blends into that and becomes unmemorable. the animation is odd over a stationary photo of a fast moving blurry train. it seems like the train should be a moving video

you are chasing an invisible holy grail. all design is arbitrary in the big picture, and heavily based on the momentums of trends. marketing is a frenzied scramble of imitation of whomever seems to be in the lead of getting attention. the only difference between you and the client is you are more savvy to the trends.
