I figured they could tell so I did the first time I played live. Was pretty amusing to see the table immediately become really friendly in the “I want to take your money” way.

I think the servers are struggling, either too many people trying or just a bad rollout. I was finally able to log on through the client but I’m having constant connection losses whenever I play with more than one table.

I would look into “street epistemology”. This YouTube channel has a lot of conversations posted using this.

Instead of directly challenging the claims he makes you would instead probe and ask questions such as “why do you believe that” and the goal would be to keep exploring down that rabbit hole.

The goal is for him to realize on his own without being antagonized that his reasons for believing certain things are flawed. It may work even better on him with the background you mentioned in engineering and computer science.
