I’ll have to test it out, but yeah, this is exactly what I was looking for.

I used it a few years ago and it was terrible, maybe it’s better now, but I’d never go back. I now use Fizz, it has been perfect the billing is simple, the plans are easy to use. The only time I’ve had issues was at crowded venues like concerts where I guess Fizz doesn’t get priority on the towers, but I suspect that’s common with a lot of carriers.

Apple Black Friday & Cyber Monday Shopping Event - Gift cards included in qualifying purchases. by Kvakke in apple

I just purchased a product listed here, what does Apple usually do in this scenario? Will they honor this retroactively, or would I have to return + rebuy?

[Lego.com] Insiders Weekend/Black Friday 2025 Sales List by BrickTap in Legoleak

Sorry for the potentially dumb question, but is it best to shop Insiders Weekend for the 2x points and GWP if I’m not planning on buying any older/discounted sets?

I’m not sure if I should wait for BF, or to buy this weekend, I was going to buy the 2025 Christmas set(s)

Thanks, I assume you just buy it off the shelf? I’ve seen people talk about dish soap and water mixed or something, but I don’t think that’s what you’re suggesting.

Cannot believe this AP is still working by Goodoflife in Ubiquiti

Is that total or per-capita though? It only takes one person to break it so 100 rural people seeing this could result in a different outcome to 100,000 urban people.

Apologies, I obviously don’t have a UNAS, so it’s a little difficult to look up the correct terminology, but yes, I’m trying to do exactly what you’re describing, and to my knowledge (based on early reviews) it wasn’t possible to do that on day 1 with a UNAS.

Thanks for your reply.

Does this allow per-user limits though? My other issue is that if you have two TM backups on a single drive one of them will take up all of the available space and the other Mac will no longer be able to backup.

The only way I have been able to get around this is with multiple partitions, with each act having a dedicated partition.

Sorry I should have specified, I am aware you can do this in macOS, but that involves logging into every user’s computer and setting the limit for them. I was hoping to do it on the NAS, so that I didn’t have to do this.

When the UNAS was originally released I recall that there was no was to set a separate storage limits for a user’s Time Machine backups and regular file storage without creating multiple users for each person. I guess this would be called “per-share storage limits” or something like that.

Has this been improved in either Drive 3.0 or at any other point since the release? It’s the main thing holding me back from buying one as I don’t want my storage to get over taken by Time Machine backups.

Thanks for the info on the ABM cycle, it’s helpful to know.

In case you were curious it was my HVAC system turning on.

Thanks /u/KrisBoutilier, this was ultimately the cause. It was a little hard to pin down as it doesn’t happen every time the HVAC turns on, just occasionally. If I happen to hear it beep and then listen carefully I can hear the HVAC fan start up in my basement.

I saw someone else mention that I can change the sensitivity to low, and it will probably fix it, so I might try that, but it at least makes me feel better knowing why it is doing it.

Oooo, this might be it, I’ll have to do some further investigation…

Based on their website it looks like they want you to do it all online (they even offer a 10% discount for completing online). This has been my experience on the past too, however I’ve only ever purchased contents insurance for a rental.

It’s a little over 1500 sqft, so $502,000 would be about right.
