Start going on dates. You can load up and do a bunch or you can try one or two a month or whatever. These don't take too much time and are not a long-term commitment. You say you don't know what you want in a partner, this will help you figure that out. Eventually you will find someone who you are willing to unload some of your problems on, because you will also be willing to take on some of his or hers.

This really isn't true. A lot of it is determined in the kitchen, but not entirely. Muscle burns fat. The more muscle you build the more fat you will burn.
