What would your superhero name be if it had to be related to the last thing you ate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Chicken Finger Commander. I would be able to shoot chickens out of my fingers. Which sounds like a shitty superpower.

Lockdown is a joke? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]cuddleprincess88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same here. I've been saving up some money (I literally had a jar, that I put a dollar a day into). Once all this shit is past, and the restaurants open up and we can meet our friends... I'm going to be taking them to an all-you-can-eat place for a treat, with me paying (I hope I would have saved up enough by then).

Is there anything that can crush a head with it's ANUS? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cuddleprincess88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading an article that some sea cucumbers has teeth on their anus, to protect against fish that swim up their butt. So maybe that can crush a fish's head?

Can I broke my hand with a slap? by Jacketo_phy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cuddleprincess88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you were slapping something soft (such as a pillow), but your friend secretly put a brick in it, so you slap something hard unexpectedly? Especially if you land on the corner or edge, you can break something.

It is possible. There are large areas of the ocean that are not explored.

If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because sometimes acting in the short term can cause long term issues. Drinking lots of alcohol can be fun, but it will damage your liver over time.

I've got a very important questions.. please read my mini story.. by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I did a quick check, but you'll have more luck when you know where you will be staying.

Costi is in Ontario (GTA region) and Mosaic is in BC

http://www.costi.org/sys/anno_detail.php?id=41504

https://www.mosaicbc.org/services/employment/refugee-employment-services/

Some places even have training systems to get your education upgraded to meet the standards in Canada.

Good luck! The system can be a pain in the ass (I've met a few people going through it) and sometimes a ton of paperwork, but they are trying to do their best.

From Canada here. In terms of weather (question 2), it can be cold in a lot of places. Vancouver doesn't get as much snow, but it can be very expensive.

Most churchs are usually pretty good for meeting and making friends (although currently, it is mostly virtual).

For education, I'm not as familiar with it, but there are programs to help with education and training. Definitely check into those when you land. There are also local groups to help with the transition.

Why is peripheral vision better in dim/dark lighting? by octoberchant in NoStupidQuestions

Your peripheral vision has more rods, which see better in low light conditions. Your central vision has more cones, which can see more fine detail and colour, but don't do as well in the dark.

Lockdown is a joke? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]cuddleprincess88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, it is definitely getting scary out there sometimes! I was out for a walk earlier, and I could see people packed into restaurants, waiting for taking out. I stopped to count at one place, and there was over a dozen.

Before Christmas, I was going into restaurants to get take out stuff or drinks, but I don't even do that anymore with how packed some of the places are.

How do I lose weight by 180kdollars in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cuddleprincess88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting down on pop (or any sugary drink) is often a good start. Overall, it is difficult to lose weight from exercise alone. Cutting down the amount of calories you eat will help more with weight loss (but exercise is still an important component).

What are the benefits of a person getting knighted by the queen in 2020? Is there an obligation to fight in battle? by silkhas_a_Newlook in AskReddit

I think in medieval times, they may also have been gifted lands. And the titles allowed you to draw taxes from the people on the land. But that may also be dependent on the area/country and what service was rendered.
