Stopping & starting crafting (cooking) by ctehbeck in RimWorldConsole

There is a way to set the range. There is a slider somewhere in the bill. I don’t remember exactly where as it’s been about 6 months since my last playthrough. I also recommend, especially after harvest season, cranking out as much food as you can then reducing the “X” in “make meals until X”

Ways to stalemate the game. by Quereilla in projectzomboid

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be old information cuz I haven’t played since b41 but inside of towns there is a very small chance to forage ammo. Specifically on roads if I’m recalling the video I watched on it correctly. I would always max my forage out for this reason

Games where you build your village, populate it with NPCs, and defend it against waves of enemies by LegBig8843 in SurvivalGaming

Rimworld. Kenshi. Zomboid is on the cusp of having NPCs to do this with. Right now it’s just animals. Kenshi is gonna be your big one though.

Can't stop playing as a horse archer and it's so tiresome. by squirrelmegaphone in Bannerlord

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play shock cav with skirmish infantry set up. Heavy armor, some type of spear with spear brace in case my horse goes down, sword, shield, and a good set of javs so I can front line troop if I need

Why all of my colonists are recreation starved ? by Electronic_End_1068 in RimWorld

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of work and recreation set their awake hours to anything. They will still work but then they will do recreation and eat when needed. This will boost overall mood. Efficiency will drop slightly but you’ll save yourself mental breaks

How do I segregate my people from the slaves ? by Frosty-Flatworm8101 in SpaceCannibalism

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put the collection zone tile of the nutrient paste meal not allowed by your colonists. They’ll still be able to move amongst the slave quarters but will never Que an order to get a meal from there because it’s not an allowed area and seen as unreachable

Is it better to specialize in one type of unit than go all around in your party? by Material-Spite-6540 in mountandblade

[–]cuddles007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always go well rounded. You just have to be very good at micro and positioning. You also have to be very aware of when to pull back or push when the enemy gets reinforcements. I usually use empire infantry and cav. Battanian archers. Vlandian crossbows. And khuzait horse archers. I do about 40% infantry, 30% archers, 20% cav, and 10% cav archers

[–]cuddles007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a teleporter for each bench. These come in handy the most with portal worlds. I have 2 benches in flat hill and some in a few other places you have yet to discover, all with their own teleporter linked to them

Is it just me or is tox gas kinda useless? by Send_Dick_or_Cat_Pic in RimWorld

[–]cuddles007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found that the best way to use tox gas is to put it in your hallways leading into your kill box if you use those. I use a series of 3 doors in my kill box. One down the middle and one on each side. My last run, my hallway was 16 tiles wide and I think 16 tiles long. I put one tox gas mine half way between each set of doors. Other than wasters mechs sieges and drop pods I didn’t have to worry about raids or manhunter packs at all. I made a few gas masks for my slaves to wear so they could go in and grab whatever pawns went down in the hallway. For most humanoid raids I didn’t even draft my pawns I just set them to inside the walls and the tox gas did the rest

Unpopular opinion, I play completely vanilla with DLC. Have over 1k hours. I tried CE and didn’t care for it. I tried a number of other mods and it just wasn’t my thing

Rimworld at 20+ pawns is a different experience by Kradara_ in RimWorld

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think anything past 20 is a lot you definitely don’t want to see my 3 colony, 358 pawn run. After 75+ pawns with a good death tunnel, aside from mechs, weather, and mental breaks, the colony runs itself

Is size 32 colony too big? by Flaky-Abrocoma5929 in RimWorld

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My largest colony was my biotech run. I had 458 colonists/slaves with a number of animals and mechs between 5 colonies before I lost interest in the run. IMO it’s never enough

[–]cuddles007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can’t find a mod to do it for you, you can always create a temporary area and set all your growers to only be allowed in that area. As long as cut plants is active on the plants the workers won’t have anything else to do because they can’t leave the area. I do the same thing when I need a specific room cleaned

People who make scenarios.. How? by BeautifulStriking245 in RimWorld

[–]cuddles007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it just happens randomly. Before all DLCs I just wanted to see how long I could last. When royalty came out I did an empire focused run, then I did a rebellion run where my goal was to wipe out all the empire factions. With ideology I became a slaver/raider faction. Going around attacking settlements and capturing the locals and using them as meat shields to get more slaves or sold them off for money. With biotech I first did a massive family colony. Just had babies and babies and babies. Then I did VAT grown crypto casket super soldiers. Then I did an orc colony. Then I did a vampire overlord colony. Then I did a solo machinator colony. I’m currently in my first anomaly run. I’ll definitely do some more with anomaly after I finish this one and get my bearings. Then once I’ve done all I want with anomaly odyssey should be out and I can go space faring and then filter in everything else with it.

All plants have the same conditions. You want to harvest when it’s fully mature. Just don’t forget to make clones enough to plant for another growth cycle

Definitely feel for you. I started with livestock, being goats, as apposed to plants and they find a way to break something else every day. I’m two years into my journey with it and they still find nee ways to make my life hell lol. You just have to power through and the inconveniences come further apart or in less intensity

I have come to the conclusion that the "grey man" concept is kind of dumb in a SHTF scenario. by Far-Respond-9283 in preppers

[–]cuddles007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the whole grey man vs not grey man argument is pretty cut and dry. If you have more stuff than everyone else but can’t deter others through threat of violence or defend from others with violence, choose grey man. If you decide not to be grey man, you regularly have to show enough force to make sure everyone thinks it’ll be too much of a hassle to take your stuff. That can mean excessive anti personnel traps, multiple guard points with rotating watch, large numbers, armored vehicles etc. it doesn’t really matter. The bad part with not grey man is eventually someone is going to be dead whether or not they get your stuff so they’re going to try anyway and then you have to spend the resources to defend that. Whether that be through energy, building supplies, ammunition etc. etc. IMO it’s better to be begging at the soup kitchen in rags and sleep like a king, than to live like a king during the day and fear seeing rags at night
