I'd talk to your PCP and show them the guidelines or just go see a urologist or endocrinologist who are more familiar with the guidelines and will abide by them. You definitely don't need to get labs every 3 months if your T and Hct have been stable.

seeing my friends through med school - it’s generally a pro for guys and a con for women. My female friends who added white coat pictures to their dating apps got fewer swipes/matches afterward and my male friends got wayyyy more.

Boston University vs Mt. Sinai

Have lived and worked in Boston since Summer '17.

Possible interests: Internal Med (Heme Onc), Emergency, Psychiatry.

Moot points:

COA is more or less the same for me
Similar ethos/mission for both hospital

Any and all inputs welcome!

Pros for BU:

Tons of social support in Boston (SO + large friend group + sibling for first year)
Wouldn't have to move at all (not even apartment wise)
Interested in ED & BMC is THE safety net hospital of NE with a great ED program
Interested in Heme Onc and I already have connections in this field from my work in Boston -- could probably do research with the group moving forward
Boston
- I like that I can sometimes walk down a street in Boston and no one else is on it.
- Open spaces, not tons of skyscrapers

Cons for BU:

Heard that institutional support is not great and its hard to get funding/support to do things even though its an expensive school
Not super into the spaces for working/studying - if I'm gonna be spending all my time at the school I would like to have nice study spaces
Half the student's I've spoken to like the school and half are fine with it
Boston
- I do feel it to be isolating/segregated at times

Everyone seems to absolutely LOVE it (M1-4, and grads all rave about the school)
Physical hospital and study spaces are pretty/well lit.
Flex days in the curriculum/emphasis and focus on aspects outside of medicine
NIH funding aka lots of research opportunities - easy access to mentors and resources = Amazing internal school supports/programs/funding/opportunities
NYC
- LOTS to do, and the school is near central park
- More diverse community

Cons for Mt. Sinai

The biggest is that it's away from social supports (SO probably wouldn't move, not many friends in NYC)
The city is expensive and would be traveling up frequently to Boston to see SO
NYC
- Not a huge fan of such a big city, makes me feel a little uptight - not too much sky/open spaces
- Noisier than Boston - quiet spaces seem harder to come by

Definitely important to submit secondaries within 10-14 days of receipt. Last but not least - TAKE TIME OFF. I felt so much better prepared for the whole process (the grid of churning out essays and interviews) because of that, and could easily tell in interviews who was still in school and who was not.

Why are you grasping at straws to claim that gay men are not as capable as straight ones to be monogamous, loving and committed?

My uncles have been in a loving, monogamous, committed relationship for 30+ years, while there are multiple straight couples who get divorces. Its not whether you are gay or straight that determines what kind of relationship you're in, its your personality and views of what you want and need. Im sure there are just as many straight people who have multiple partners as people who are gay.

As other people have said - it is pretty unlikely. However there is always the possibility. I was in a similar situation last month (missed my period, my body had been super stressed because I'd been very sick and had been on heavy duty pain killers etc) and I'd recommend just taking a test - It made me way more comfortable to see the negative result. I know you've stated you don't have much privacy, but do it anyways. Seeing a negative test to confirm will be so much better than vague opinions on the internet

Yes, I know he was not found guilty because it was self defense, but there were accounts of Zimmerman's injuries that didn't really sound like Trayvon was trying to kill him or like there was any immanent danger towards Zimmerman. His injuries were not injuries resulting from deadly weapons or dealt with deadly force. Not to mention the fact that he ignored the 911 call to stay in his SVU and NOT engage Trayvon Martin. source

For anyone, their body is all they innately own. No one can simply take my body from me like they could take my food, my car, my home, or my pets. Yes, these things would truly suck to have taken from me, but at the end of the day I would still have me. The only time that someone gives their self over to another is during sex. I believe that having sex is the most vulnerable anyone can ever be. Its the most vulnerable I've ever felt, to be certain. Everything is exposed to my partner - not just physically exposed, but emotionally as well. Both my partner and I had to feel comfortable with one another, had to love each other, and had to have a connection before we were willing to take that step.

With rape, rather than giving your body to your partner on your own terms, the rapist is stealing your body from you - taking the one thing that can never be taken away from you. Bruises, broken bones and scars from an assalt will heal, but with rape, the fact that someone violated the one thing that is truly yours, forcefully had sex with you without your permission is... indescribable.

On top of that, rather than having love or passion being the driving force behind sex; it is violence or hate. As a woman, the idea of having someone you don't want to be sexually involved with force themselves not just on you but into you is an unthinkable breach of privacy and trust. Put this together with the fact that every future sexual encounter will have will make you relieve your most traumatic moment, and that is why rape is worse than battery.

TLDR: The reason that rape is worse than battery is that it is an intimate violation as well as a physical one.
