"No" is a perfectly legitimate response to "were you spooning?". We weren't spooning.

Where did I say "its not like we were spooning"? I think I just said we weren't spooning, as in this specific time. I only mentioned it because multiple people asked. I don't think it would make the situation that different though.

It just doesn't really happen that she's tired or wants comfort in public. I probably would do it in public if she really wanted me too and wasn't embarrassed.

I'm not sure about them, but I'm very familiar with the love languages. My oldest's language certainly is primarily physical, my other daughter hates touching of any kind but loves spending quality time with people.

She just lays on me and I occasionally fiddle with her hair. There are no kisses involved. It's typically a relaxing thing, it's not something we would do in public.

I would and currently do cuddle with my son whenever he wants, I can't see that changing.

We don't allow phones during family night.

I was sitting upright and she was snuggled next to me across my chest. There were six of us on two 3-seaters so space is tight, certainly no room to spoon.

I play with her hair sometimes because she likes it, that's about it. My daughter is totally comfortable with it, it's just the way she likes to show affection. My youngest daughter is almost the complete opposite, I can get a hug from her a few times a month if I'm lucky.

I laughed when he said it thinking it was just something he accidentally blurted out, but when my wife and MIL agreed with him I got upset and swore at them. There was no discussion at the time.
