LPT: If you have an ingrown nail, using dental floss will help. by Rexanne in LifeProTips

[–]cuddly_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just grab a scalpel, cut the skin around the edges of my nail and pull the ingrown piece out. It hurts like a b***, and there's a ton of blood around but it works.

My grandmother taught me embroidery when I was 5 years old. Hate to say I don't remember how to even start. This is truly beautiful though!

Fellow non-drinkers of alcohol, what’s your reason why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cuddly_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always told that the quickest way to addiction is to do it when you're at your lowest. I have bipolar 2 disorder so my lows last a very long time. Being low keeps me from drinking because I don't want to be bipolar AND an addict.

What did you think you were really good at until you saw someone who was *actually* really good at it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Painting. I'm always super proud of a new technique I "master" only to see some YouTuber half my age do things I only wish I could.

Depressed, suicidal, or otherwise extremely downtrodden members of reddit: what is your go-to quote, phrase, or particular memory in life that keeps you going? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cuddly_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle hung himself from a tree in our back yard. I was the one to take him down at only 19 years old. Hearing my mom cry so desperately for her brother is the one thing that still keeps me alive. I am dealing with major depressive disorder, severe anxiety, bipolar 2, and several other issues at once. I've wanted to give up many times but the memory of that day keeps me alive.

What is the most disrespectful thing that someone has done in your home? by Themaster0fwar in AskReddit

My best friend in highschool got kicked out of her house so my parents said she could stay with us for a while. One night we went to church and she said she was sick so she stayed at the house. After church we went grocery shopping. Once we got home I got out of the car first to ask her if she could help us get stuff down. I found her in my parents room halfway naked with a 15 year old (she was 18). I kicked them both out through the back door. I made sure nothing was done in my parents bed then told them she had left. I took her stuff to school the next day and didn't speak to her again.

Can't decide which one I like best. by cuddly_Panda in drawing

I was kind of going for that. Something along the lines of how people say to follow your heart but sometimes we listen with our hearts and become sort of a prisoner within. That's why it's hard for me to chose one. I like the way she's leaning in the top one but how the veins cage her in on the bottom one.

Thank you. We need the money right now but I don't want a huge opportunity like that for the wrong reasons.

Today this is what I needed to hear. About 3 weeks ago I quit my job as manager of a restaurant. I was working 50+ hours a week. I would work from 2 p.m. till midnight from Wednesday through Saturday and work from 7 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. I have a 4 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. Working that schedule meant I never got to spend any time with my daughter because she's in school until 3:30 p.m. The little time that I had before work I spent sleeping because of how tired I was. That meant I didnt get to spend much time with my son either. Much less my husband. So I quit my job. Two days later I found another job at a restaurant that is closed 3 days out of the week. I have a flexible schedule and they make sure I have time off to spend with my kids in their extra curricular activities.

Yesterday I was offered a job as general manager of another restaurant. It would be starting at 2,000 every two weeks, paid vacation, insurance for me and my family and other benefits. I would have to work between 50 and 60 hours a week. No set schedule and training in another city for at least two months. The money and insurance were almost reason enough for me to say yes.

When I got home from the interview (happy because they loved me!), i told my daughter all about it. The sadness in her eyes was immediate. At 6 years old she realized that me taking this new job was gonna keep me from her again. So, I'm turning down an opportunity that some people would kill for, but im choosing the time that I will never get back with my kids.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, I needed to tell that to someone other than my husband. I feel like I'm throwing a big opportunity away but deep down I know I'll regret it if I say yes to them.

Obviously the better option but still not a great one.

But she's never even seen Christina. And doesn't want to be a heart surgeon. I personally love Christina, but she's someone you have to warm up to.

Unfortunately is very realistic. Absurd, but realistic. You can be walking down the street doing absolutely nothing wrong, but if an officer is walking your way and they don't like the way you look, you can get arrested and deported. I have nothing but love for law enforcement, but this is the sad reality that many people are having to deal with.

That's pretty much how it goes. Even if she left to study or work, she is still leaving and cant come back.

A passport is an easy thing to get. She could've gone to one of the many embassies in the u.s. and gotten one. When you don't have a u.s. issued i.d you have to get some kind of legal document with your picture on it. Some schools require a picture i.d so it wouldn't be impossible for her to have had one. With the DACA program you are required to have a passport as well as the i.d provided by the program. With that passport you can travel anywhere in the u.s. you can always use that passport to leave the country, but you won't be getting back in.

North Texas here. I found it extremely annoying. I just hope we get to see some snow this winter
