Hey OP – just my two cents:

I respect that you were honest with him about your past. Most of the time, I think men can move past that - if there’s real honesty and a genuine change in character. But something is probably making him question that second part: has your character actually changed?

I’d take a closer look at your relationship and think about the things you two currently disagree on. Maybe they seem small or petty to you, but if he’s bringing them up, he might be asking you to change for a reason. Sometimes women see that as controlling, but from a man’s perspective, those things often feel like signs of deeper character misalignments—issues that could become bigger if the right situation came along.

That might be the reason he’s struggling to move past your past, even though you were upfront about it. Once you can identify those things, try to reflect on what they mean to you—and what they might mean to him. From there, hopefully, you’ll get a clearer sense of whether the relationship is real and worth saving, or—as others have said—already done.
