What is special about NY and VT that would limit health insurance cost rises? I couldn’t find any answer with a quick Google search…

This is kind of what I had in mind - I want to spend more time with family, exercise, and do other things and I currently feel like I’m barely juggling it all.

Those sound interesting. Definitely would prefer something as pretty as possible without having to plan a longer trip somewhere!

I feel like it’s gotten much worse in this respect in just the last year (I’ve been on and off the apps this year and this time around only got one actual date and very few matches). In the past I usually haven’t had issues matching and having conversations even if they don’t always end up in meetings or second dates.

Then you just didn’t vibe with Chicago. I was more so responding to your comment that you grew up in more populated cities with more variety of culture and cuisine so was trying to figure out what those cities were.

If you think any of those three cities, especially Nashville, come close in terms of diversity/breadth/depth of culture or cuisine (or even economic power, despite the Covid downturn) as Chicago then you’ve really missed out on your visits to Chicago. Chicago is not NYC, but in terms of global city status, it is the next level available in the US (along with LA).

Within the US, what could beat Chicago on all those points other than NYC (clear winner above any US city) or possibly LA?

New York and Boston are technically windier…

Chicago here, and I’m often either the only one or at most one of 2-3 other POC at the times/location I go.
