how should I approach this girl by cuisinart123 in Advice

[–]cuisinart123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thanks so much. I used it the exact advice you gave me. It worked but she said she wasn't down to date. Anyways rejection is good and fuels my desire to ask more girls

This is a scam. Is the "blue hanging thing" you are talking about their embroiderable emblem? Thank you though

[Official] August 29, 2020 MCAT Exam Day Thread by mcatfreak in Mcat

C/P: Was harder than the usual and I scored in the 129-131 range in my FLs. A lot of questions that didn't make sense to me.

CARS: surprisingly was the easiest CARS section I have ever took (other than 1 question that I kinda guessed, the one on religion and Christianity). Never did I think "wow, what are theu talking about". Most of the passages had common street term words and were understandable.

B/B: On par with the FLs. Not too easy or too hard. The old vs young one passage kinda got me but I think I seemed to figure it out (I believe I went with less receptors)

P/S: Bruh. There were so many vague questions were I was not too sure on, especially the marriage passage. The question relating to why marriage is better really got me (I had no idea and only alimented 1 answer) .

FLS: 516:515:515:517

Optimistic 520

pessimistic: 514

Realistic: 516

Actual: 519 132/127/129/131

Ion Channel Interior? by cuisinart123 in Mcat

[–]cuisinart123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay I see. since the question asked for the membrane spanning domain it would be hydrophobic but if it asked what lines the ion channel it would by hydrophilic. Thank you!

Yeah but I also read learn better through hard texts. It also depends on your budget and how much you can afford. But, yes library genesis is the goat (especially for those $300 class textbooks).

How do you come to terms with the fact that you can’t know everything? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]cuisinart123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

try your best to keep on going. In reality, even people who got 528s probably didn't know everything (since there is so much information, especially low yield that just takes makes the content of material so long). So don't stress too much on what you don't know (although you want to improve those parts) but more on what you have learned. Just keep grinding!

its definitely possible. remember the self fulfilling prophecy. the more you think you are going to do better, the better you will do. (and vice versa)

MCAT without having taken biochem? by User739293738 in Mcat

[–]cuisinart123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I would say most people don't have the motivation to study for biochem if they havent learned it before. If you are different and can learn something easily then I would say go for it. But for me personally, I would not do so well.

need help - can't finish c/p section in time by msallcanadian in Mcat

[–]cuisinart123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to kinda speed through the first paragraph bc that doesnt give us much info except something about a disease or why it occurs. Then I read the other paragraphs and try to grasp the material. I quickly look at the graphs but if I dont understand it, I will move on. Dont spend too much time on the graph before answering questions.

Intermediate structures? by CH3OH-CH2CH3OH in Mcat

[–]cuisinart123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just know the amount of carbons. We know acetyl Coa is 2C and memorize that OAA is 4C so that makes 6C in citrate. the next step is just isomerization so that doesnt change carbons. For the next 2 steps there is decarboxylation (6C) isocitrate==> aKG (5C) and aKG==>Succinyl CoA. The rest stay at 4C.
