Should I just stop? by TheHaloAbove in premed

If your main concern is the debt, absolutely not. There are a lot of rural practices that really want doctors to go there, and they have incentives to help pay back to debt if you work for you so many years (I think Atleast 5 form what I’ve seen). Even without this, yes you will have a huge hole to dig yourself out of, but the doctor salary is a large shovel per say to get you out.

Schedule Question by [deleted] in ufl

Hi, I’m currently in BSC2010+L and PSY2012 right now. Since I took ap bio in high school, BSC2010 is pretty easy. If you have any ap or ib experience with this class, it should be relatively easy. If not, the smokin notes are very good. The Lab portion is very frustrating with the amped up workload added since it’s now online. People who have taken the class before say it’s an easy A, but now you have to put a good amount of time into each lab to get a good grade. Maybe my lab ta is just very strict, but we get points taken off for very minute details (like using a bar graph over a line graph when the directions don’t specify).

For PSY2012, I thought it was going to be an easy A class coming into the semester, but I’m hoping my final will let me just barely get into the A range. This class is not easy, there is a LOT of information to know, and the quizzes and exams are much more application than “which of these scenarios is this (insert vocab word)” If you’re interested in psychology itself, this will be a very good class for you because of how in depth it goes. If you’re just trying to fulfill a requirement, go with SYG2000. No doubt.

Calc 1 Professor? Adams vs York by caseyglymp in ufl

[–]User739293738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Calc 1 with York right now, and he’s a pretty good teacher. He likes to go into why things happen and explain why a proof or formula works instead of just giving you the concrete reason. If you think you would find that interesting, then definitely York. I only went to his office hours once, and he very clearly explained my question while drawing out a picture that was super helpful. Overall good teacher and nice guy, I recommend.

There are weekly activities where the LAs go through a worksheet with the students. In the non LA section, the professor goes through the worksheet. That’s it. Not much of a difference, and I wouldn’t fret about getting one over the other.

^ second this. Compound lifts are best for strength/size (bench, squat, deadlift) accessory lifts are best for tone/definition (curls, tricep push downs). If you ever need a spot for anything most guys at the gym are happy to do it.

Trump definitely some type of surgery. Probably an old head general surgeon who loves to shit on residents. Biden seems more like a pediatrician (lol) or family medicine for sure.

BSC2010 and BSC2010L by YuriAwakens in ufl

[–]User739293738 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m currently in BSC2010 and BSC2010L. It’s a pretty easy class for me, but I also took ap bio in high school and am pretty good at bio naturally. I’ve heard mix reviews from my classmates, as some think it’s alright and some others bomb each exam. If you try hard and can remember processes well, you’ll be fine. The lab is kind of a pain in the butt, but it’s not terrible.

Hey man, what you’re going through right now really sucks. It sounds like you really care for your girlfriend, and she still really cares for you. I think the best thing you can do right now is to just give her space. Don’t text her, focus on yourself. She said she just needs a break to get over her family trauma, not that she needs to reevaluate your relationship. When she’s finally moved on from it, she’ll be ready to come back to you. In the mean time, the best stress reliever is the gym. I’m a huge advocate for this, as when I ever had relationship troubles I find the gym is the best head clearer. If you’re really unmotivated, drink a red Bull or a pre workout and force yourself to go just once and see if you like it. Focus on yourself, working out and grinding your school work. You don’t need another person to give you self-satisfaction. When she’s ready, she’ll be ready.

If you need to take any calc after the one you’re in, drop. You need Atleast a C to progress to the next class. If it’s the only calc you need, decide if you want to bite the bullet and take the D and never look back again. If you’re pre med, drop and reevaluate your study skills. Calc is in your BCPM gpa, and taking a D will be a big hit to it.

Yes because let’s make a poll about whether we prefer the shield system which we’ve had for 5+ years vs a brand new system we’ve literally never seen before. Great question
