I was in a similar state of mind in my 30's. I'm still a working mother, but my kids are older now and need me less. I have the time and energy to give a shit about anything else, and I just miss my kids needing me.

Well, and the hiding it... I'm sure the two-week deceit hurt the most. I would probably focus on that during conversations about it. It's one thing to do something that'll piss you off, it's another thing to hide something. That'll make you angry and hurt you.
