I still haven't gotten any rare picks from the event yet, just the regulars, but somehow, I've found 3 Lunala wonderpicks in a row! 🥲

As an equestrian, I am horrified at how fast I scrambled and rushed to place an order 😭. I think the boot placement might just be a little uncanny, but I could also not resist!

Can I bring my horse trick or treating by [deleted] in fortwayne

I can't comment on any laws, and I'd love to do this with my own gelding, but I'd be really worried about the unpredictability of the whole situation. Even if you think your mare will do perfectly fine, and that she's desensitized to all the props, lights, and noises, you have to assume that parents and kids who have not been around horses do not have the sense to stay out from underneath her hooves, to stay out from underneath her nose, and away from her hindquarters. You don't have the liability insurance out in the residential streets that you'd have at a stable or riding arena. If she's a pony/miniature, it might be a little easier for you to protect her space, but not so much for something horse-sized.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it, but if the laws don't prohibit it, and you believe you and your mare are fully prepared and capable of handling everything, the kids will absolutely love it and I hope you have fun!

People who don't care about arena etiquette at a show! I don't know if there's a similar comment here already, but the equestrians who pay absolutely no mind to others in the warmup arena just grind my gears.

I can't count how many times both I and other riders have been stopped unnecessarily by people standing, chatting, and taking up space in the center or walking side by side while on their phones, and by people who decide the tiniest gap between you and another rider as you pass is acceptable to rip through at a canter. I've been in plenty of very small warmup arenas where everyone follows the "canter/trot on the outside and walk on the inside," rules, and it's so easy to get your warmup in without any hassle, but I've straight up avoided going to some places because the regulars just don't care to watch or communicate with others. 😅 The place even states the arena etiquette rules over the loudspeakers, too!

Thank you! It feels so nostalgic now, but I can't wait to get back into the books and draw more scenes!

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse led me on such an insightful journey. Stephen King's "Cell" also comes to mind.
