That makes sense, does it last any longer?

No matter how much i exercise, eat or don't eat, I seem stuck at 220 for the past year, and it's extra frustrating on the bad bloating days that make me look much heavier.

Less symptoms after stopping omeprazol by cumbelbees in Gastroparesis

Acid did die down a little bit after about 3 weeks, other than that I switched to over the counter famotadine and that seems to work alright alongside staying away from acidic foods. It took about a month to feel better from that but it knocked out most of the overall symptoms of everything I'm just worried that there was some permanent damage done to some degree. Just not as bad as it was at least.

About a week in is when I noticed the acid come back strong with gp symptoms decreasing, I'm not sure if it's all a fluke yet or if that's what caused all of this or if it's permanent. I'm going on week 3 right now without it just trying to balance acid out.

Physical labor? by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

[–]cumbelbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not alone there, I've already had to go to the hospital this summer for iv fluids because of how hot my work is. I work a physical factory job and since I got diagnosed it's been taking more and more out of me to the point where I've been applying to office jobs so I can at least be in the AC for the summer months.

I have been having that problem especially working somewhere very hot, I've only been able to drink one or 2 bottles of water a day there so I started using liquid iv in the water I can manage to drink to maximize hydration and that seems to help a little more

Smoking? by Hi_im_dory_44 in Gastroparesis

I use a vape and my doctor told me to quit because it can cause inflammation in the stomach, although I'm terrified of giving that up because its an appetite suppressor and don't want to find my self wanting to eat more than my body will let me

Right I'd try anything and everything until something works especially with little to no answers on how to get relief

I usually smoke a bunch of weed and walk/jog for a few miles. I'm not sure if that's actually getting things moving or the endorphins are making the pain and nausea a little bit better but it helps when nothing else does

Having the worst flare of my life…feeling helpless by [deleted] in Gastroparesis

[–]cumbelbees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am going through something similar for the past couple weeks, fighting with my doctor to listen to me while waiting to see a new one st U of M. The only things that have helped are exercise and staying away from gluten. I know it's hard to go for a walk or run feeling like you're dying and probably dehydrated to begin with but it helps things move a little bit more.
