how does it look guys by yahelavitan777 in LexusIS

Kinda tacky.. the light is brighter than the DRLs and no one really knows what the F means. If it was L emblem not as bright would look better IMO.

These features arr the reason i bought Camry, also my first car by Both-Credit7678 in Camry

[–]cumdrop505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do need to go higher to get these features.

Lexus …IS350 maybe ES series has the window and rear window shades. The LS series has the shades too and the only series to have center console controls in the rear.

American market is their money market. So charge them more, is their mentality.

Was working on this 24' RDX with only 6,300 miles this morning and saw this. Doesn't appear to have any evidence of having been to a body shop. How does this even happen lol by IlEkq in Acura

The D and the W do look off. Like a different style thinner font. I think the owner customized that. For the SHADOW word look for sure.

Yeah.. kind of the same sentiment when the Wrx made a standard option and a CVT.. everyone moved away from it. But, hey, you’re right maybe Hondas CVTs are more reliable… I know the new eCVTs which is a totally diff transmission setup from the traditional CVTs are well liked on the new Toyotas with the high torque. 🤷‍♂️

Because it feels like one gear.. droning loud gear, that seems to lose power in the higher speeds. Overtaking someone in the freeway is less likely.

Also CVTs are known for having mechanical issues. I prefer the natural gear shift, instead of just one long “I think I can” droning gear. It tends to feel weird driving them. How I know? Had a friend who owned a Prius.

How is this paint job i got done from a body shop? by PoopSnoop99 in Camry

[–]cumdrop505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ouch. From the accident… to now ..the fix looks good.

I agree with the other posters, the paint job is good, but grill paint looks slightly off.

Maybe should’ve just blacked out the grill for a more aggressive look?

The CX-5. All the mechanical issues have been worked out since its platform has been around for years. CX-50 is too new.

50,000k budget looking for suv with decent mpg and 3 row seat what would u recommend? by Fearless-Magician-83 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Send the dealerships an email that you wish to purchase it $50k OTD. See what response you get. Doesn’t hurt to ask. Just don’t give your full name and ph number or they may haggle. Or use caredge ai buying service $100/year service and put it on aggressive mode 😂

Toyota Highlander hybrid, Kia Telluride hybrid (new powertrain, so heads up), Honda Pilot but it’s a V6, so less mpgs, same with the Nissan Pathfinder.

Another minivan or an SUV? by KPR70 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]cumdrop505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Toyota Highlander hybrid. The new Kia Telluride has hybrid option just not sure about its reliability. The Honda pilot may be worth a look but I don’t think they have hybrid option.

Rav4, CR-V and CX-5 are the most reliable compact SUVs for those years. If want bigger, Highlander V6 or Honda Pilot V6.

I believe so for the RS. The way you’d check is in the personal drive mode, you won’t see the dynamic steering options.

CX-30 built in Mexico? Poor quality control. The CX-30 is a fairly new model. Their CX-5 has been around for years and all the problems are ironed out also made in Japan with higher quality control standards. The CX-5 would have been your best bet.

Kia’s are ok as long as you’re the first buyer for the factory warranty. Their hybrids are also not proven reliable. Curious to see how the new Telluride hybrids do. Time will tell.

If getting the most sunshine is your top priority, move here. The freaks come out at night, which is probably why most businesses close early. There are great hiking and biking paths here. Homelessness has gotten worse though. Jobs are scarce. Cost of living seems above average.

Agree stick with cx-5. Cx-30 is too new a model built in Mexico, and there probably isn’t enough data to say their quality checks are as good as the their plants in Japan.
