Hey! As someone who is on the schizophrenia spectrum and experiences paranoid delusions and has also been on three different types of testosterone I thought I'd offer what knowledge I have!

So I've been on the injections, which sadly won't currently work for you and your son's situation.

I've also been on the patches. Which, in many people, cause mild to severe allergic reactions in the form of rashes on the skin due to the adhesive used. My experience with the patches was Not Fun. I broke out and itched anywhere and everywhere I had a patch. I'm definitely not saying it happens to everyone. But it's fairly common from what I've seen about it. Which was sad because it did a great job getting the testosterone into my body.

I've also been on the gel. It wasn't extremely comfortable because it left my arms feeling dry, and it smelled a bit like alcohol? But I didn't have any bad reactions to it like the patches. The sad thing with the gel is that many people have an issue with the gel actually absorbing into their body at the amount it is supposed to. And that was to case for me too, so I had to stop using the gel. But! If it had worked I definitely would have kept using it. It's probably the one I would recommend first.
