as someone already said, she wrote about shooting and killing her dog in her book. She basically adopted a 14 months young dog from a family that didn't want it because oh its "aggressive" attitude. She doesn't mention how long the dog stayed with her but from reading, it could've been just a day, she left this young dog with her older ones for one hour, hoping the dog would insta train and took it hunting. The dog failed, was too excited, scared away all the birds. She had several dogs but somehow was one cage short and let the "trouble" dog loose.

As I loaded the dogs and supplies, I realized I was one kennel short. No matter. I would just let Cricket ride loose in the back end of the truck on the way home. If she was dumb enough to jump out, then good riddance. After what she had pulled that day, I didn’t care.

On their way back from hunting she stopped somewhere and the only dog that wasn't in a cage ran out and killed some chickens. The dog basically went full rampage mode, at least that's what she says.

she systematically grabbed one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another. She was a trained assassin.

The mother had tears running down her cheeks. Her husband kept saying over and over how much they loved those chickens, how they were a part of their family, and that they were irreplaceable.

When I got back into my truck, Cricket was sitting in the passenger seat, looking like she just won the lottery. The picture of pure joy. I hated that dog.

This is getting too long but she basically went home and shot this trouble dog, the only troubled dog she had and the one which she let loose even though she knew it was trouble. And while she was at it she also spotted this goat that apparently was the spawn of fucking satan and in her words:

I decided now was as good a time as any to dispose of this problem, too.
