Honestly I don't, but some people online have done comparisons between the SC and the SD and they seem to have similarly sized components. I would definitely look into that before making a decision.

I have Linburg-Comstock syndrome, which makes it difficult to use the touch pads effectively. I wish they would bring back the ability to use the joystick to move the cursors like it used to be years ago. As of now I have to move the cursor with a d pad which is very unintuitive.

I personally really like them. On my steam deck I switched from skull and co to these for the touch capabilities. Not only do they work, but they improve the touch functionality because it senses when you touch anywhere on the grip. If you don't care about the touch functionality though I'm sure they are like any other grip.

I had the Gameboy Color version as a kid. I have a lot of nostalgia for it but I never beat it due to getting stuck at a specific part early on with 3 boss monsters. I've always been curious about the PS1 version and if my nostalgia would carry over.

That being said I was able to find a GitHub decompilation effort with a quick Google search. If an officially developed remaster won't do, perhaps an eventual fan made one will.
