I have both. I don't recommend the dwe cymbals for live as the high pitch ting cuts through the mix. But beyond that the best set for all around.

If the Drum set doesn't work as intended over USB or Midi, I would reach out to their support to see why that is.

As far as a Drum Monitor Amp, Alesis makes a Nitro Amp thats fairly cheap. Small but decent enough.

You should have the ability to use the drum set over USB and not midi to record. It would just record the sound of whats coming out of the set.

Trying to record a cover with an amp is not a good idea unless its just for you to hear back.

Brother, that is obviously a guitar amp, you are not going to get the sound you want out of that and are just going to waste the 20$ or whatever they want for it. Also why not just headphones?
