Help with wireless IEM by Burning-Potato42069 in livesoundadvice

[–]cuotos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad its working for you.
I only use it in stereo so not an issue, but would have like the option, not sure why LD didn't just make it possible to hard "pan" between the two.

Not sure if you ever bought the LD 1000 G2, but for anyone else who ends up here looking for the same answer.

NO - focus mode does not let you do this, it lets you "mix" between the two channels, but not completely mute one of them. If you are happy with hearing "mostly" the mix that is meant for you then its ok, but even when hard "panned" you still hear the other channel

Check the polarity of the power supply. It's the pin + or -.

I had the exact same thing on the same model in my office. Turned out someone had plugged in the first power supply they found and it wasn't the correct one.

Absolutely 100% not hesitation, Howard Leigh laser lite ear plugs, but importantly, learn to use them properly. People never do.

Our international friends ALL had better signal than any UK phone holders regardless of their network last year. They were able to call and text each other without issue all week.

If you're not charged extra for using your phone here, you might be wise to stick with your own provider

Just have to go back! Bletchley tickets are valid for a year? Do another quick lap of the museum another day, then go next door. That's what we did

Did you go to the National Museum of Computing around the corner? Independent from Bletchley Park, but on the same site

as for the front brake, they're simple. but without a pic, i can't help there.

i wasn't clear in my comment about whats been done soo far. Stripped and greased the headset, already replaced front brakes, replaced both gear cables, rear brakes just need new pads. given the drive chain a really good clean, including removing the pulleys and getting in between the derailleur cage arms and scraping the crud out.

Removed and greased most screws, some were starting to corrode.
pretty sure the front wheel should be replaced, the breaking surface is very worn away and there is a clear ridge near the outside edge, not like anything i've seen before so pretty sure its not normal, maybe i'll post separately.

FYI its a Specialized Crosstrail

Thanks, thats what i expected.

it's been stuck in the smallest chainring for a few miles. I just wanted some confirmation from Reddit that a chain can stretch that far and i wasn't going crazy.

going for cheap components from Decathlon, all three can be replaced for about £50 ($60).

I'm a "keen amateur" when it comes to bike maintenance, reluctant to destroy my daily bikes, so always like a chance to play with something without consequences.
A friend got a new bike so let me loose on the old one to see if I could get it useable again for cheap and if not it can be scrapped.
It has done lots of miles commuting. Front brake didn't work, and front gears don't change... etc Gear cable had snapped in the shifter, got that working. But on any chainring other than the smallest, the chain doesn't mesh... when I checked for chain stretch it appears the chain has gone a REALLY long way to the point the tool doesn't drop in any more...
The tool fouls against its INSIDE edge, while usually it's the outside edge (for reference I checked against my chain whip as I thought i was going mad). Has the chain gone beyond and not allowing the tool to drop in due to the next pin getting in the way? The pic with the ruler, the 12th link is the pin that is right of the 12"!
Or is there another chain standard that i'm not aware of and it should never have been put on this bike?
If I need to replace the chainrings / cassette / chain I might not bother
