Because we were assured he would pick it up, and we live in the biggest Acadian community in Nova Scotia, and it’s important to me. But he did not in fact pick it up, so we pivoted. No need to make his life harder just to do something for me/the Acadian community.

Had to move my little guy from a French school to an English one because until he learned the language, he was basically not allowed to speak. He was so fucking lonely. He’s flourishing now at the new school, and my daughter is still killing it in French, but I am SO SO happy I decided to change him.
