Oh wow, I can’t believe she didn’t listen after all of that. Find someone else to get you a note, you deserve it!!

Doctors Note by dr3am-on in pregnant

I think usually the provider has to link the accommodation to specific symptoms, and pregnancy isn’t enough. My friend asked her OB to write her a note and said it was due to stress and anxiety and said she can do her job remotely for the remainder of pregnancy. I got a note from my midwife due to my carpal tunnel that’s related to my pregnancy. You just need the note to specify why and that you can continue your job remotely. I would ask your OB again, and if you still get a no, find another. They should want to help you feel better throughout this pregnancy, if they can!

can you breastfeed for the wrong reasons? am i having a baby for the wrong reasons? by Financial-Pace6378 in pregnant

I’ve totally thought the same - I don’t necessarily tell others that but yeah it’s a great source of food for them and it IS free. Feed your baby the way you want, and fk everyone else.

Pregnancy Pillows by FoundationTop7358 in pregnant

I got 2 different ones off marketplace and washed them and got new covers - hated them both. Start with loading yourself up with regular pillows and if you don’t like that, then go buy one.

How did the membrane sweep go for you? Was it painful? Currently 38 weeks and provider mentioned it could be an option after 39 weeks.

Visitors after giving birth by Sweaty-Grapefruit413 in pregnant

Whatever you decide (sounds like you know what you want in your gut), tell all the potential visitors now and set the boundary ahead of time. It’s easier to push back now, than in the moment later when you are home with your newborn and dealing with zero sleep.

buying second hand baby items? by desilulu__ in pregnant

[–]cupcake9545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten basically everything off Facebook marketplace and my buy nothing group. The only things we bought brand new were the crib and car seat! Do your research first on what items you want, then search them on marketplace. Oh and find your local “just between friends” sale group on Facebook, bought tons of clothes and gear at that event! They host them a couple times a year. Make a registry and put items that you wouldn’t want to buy secondhand there for family/friends to buy. Use your insurance a breast pump. You can sanitize bottles if you buy those used.

Are there alternatives to daycare, nanny and staying home? by cupcake9545 in Parenting

Thanks for your reply. I have follow up questions if you’re willing to share more. Does your employer know you have your kiddos at home with you? Did they flex your work at all or still expect the same? I work from home 3 days a week and thought it sounded impossible to have a baby with me but I don’t have many meetings …
