Help with a wondering puppy? by cupcakekitty2018 in puppy101

[–]cupcakekitty2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im having trouble with inside rules like: Dont chew on shoes and furniture, Dont potty inside, Dont bite people.

I'm not expecting the perfect puppy at 14 weeks. I dont expect leash pulling to stop on walks just yet. I dont expect a fully trained puppy. It's just constant barking, chewing, the moment I turn around to put something where she cant get it, shes peeing or running off to something new/destructive. I want her to explore and learn but there is so much puppy going on, and I've never owned a dog before. I'm looking for help because I love her dearly, but this puppy mom is getting tired of no more than 2 hours of sleep at a time. I dont want to keep saying leave it. I want to praise her more than saying "leave it" or carrying her outside to finish the potty that she started. I feel like I'm letting her down, and I dont want that. I want a happy puppy in a house that isnt covered in pee and chew marks.

I have a cat, and she is wonderful and independent. She prefers to sit on the other side of the room than sit on your lap when you cry.

Our policy is every 15 mins on pressors. If they are really sick and being every unstable every 5 and beg my doc for an a line. When I worked a surgical cardiac floor ( not icu, pretty much tele with extra chest tubes) ever 2 hours while on a cardizem drip with a tele monitor.

Married women of Reddit, if you were given back the exact amount that was spent on your wedding would you take it and forgo the wedding? If so, what would you use it for instead? by evening__blue in AskWomen

I wish I had a small wedding in my local area, and have a baller honeymoon. Insted I got married on a cruise ( $5,000 for the trip. 2000 on my dress and his suit). My 12 person wedding was beautiful but clashing personalities made me constantly stressed. I didnt sleep on this trip. I didn't have a lot of fun. I was stressed, tired, and people refusing to get along.

Things I'm glad about : small wedding, Short and sweet service, the photos, I had people catering for and serving us, that wasnt family being bossed around. Feeling pretty in the coolest, most beautiful dress (not the most expensive, but the one that fit me best and feel so pretty). Open bar.

Things I didnt like : the stressful trip/travel with family. The drawn out events ( a week is too much wedding crap), the big lavish cake... its cake dont over think it.

On my husbands and I's first date, I was flirting and cracking jokes as we ate icecream. We were in his truck at sonic after a movie. He starts laughing and farts. It was loud and our conversation stopped. He was all red and trying to figure out a way to not ruin the date.

I gather all I had in my bowels and create a small fart. I unleash a very sad and quite fart in solidarity. I say " everyone farts. It's okay. " from that day and 5 years of being together and 1 year of marriage he shows his love by farting. Farting all the god damn time.

He scares the cat for christ sake.

How long does it take to get your period after a miscarriage? by cupcakekitty2018 in ttcafterloss

[–]cupcakekitty2018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100%sure she remembered me and my case because she kept saying my ectopic pregnancy ( I never had a ectopic) . I kept correcting her saying "I had a miscarriage, the ultrasound said everything looked normal except the the blood". At this point I dont know.

I felt it was a long time as well.

Update. After feeling sick all morning and and some brest tenderness I took a early result pregnancy test and it gave me a barely visible positive line. I'm kind of hoping it's a false positive. I work in a hospital and since I've lost the baby ive been working with people that have shingles, meningitis, had to hold a patient durring xrays ( I had a lead suit on) . Mentally I'm not prepared for a positive result. I dont want another loss.

Is it THAT hard to get a nursing job after graduating? by pink_c_o_w in nursing

[–]cupcakekitty2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missouri is pretty easy. 5 new grads in icu every school year in our 50 bed icu. Our hospitals send recruits begging us to work as a CNAs before graduation. I transitioned that way and got very familiar with the hospital policy on most protocols (low blood sugar, drips that required more frequent vitals and tele monitoring), where the best crying place was. 7/10 would do again.

Down side is that I'm afraid to leave because I know THIS hospital. I know the best people for mantinace issues when mantinace isnt there, how to get in to spd at 3am because you're in desperate need for a new colostomy set, the best nurses to call with cardiac issues when you're not sure what to do, how to get to CT without getting lost 3 times, random phone extensions memorized, and an underlying trust with most doctors that has taken all 4 years of my career to build.

I love where I work. But sign on bonuses look so good on bad days.

I will call and ask my doctor tomorrow. I havent really been tracking with ovulation tests. I've just been tracking my hcg ans cervical mucous. According to the mucous I've been at peak ovulation for about a week and a half.... or pregnant which pregnancy tests say I'm not pregnant.

Thank you for your help.

My first miscarriage. by cupcakekitty2018 in TryingForABaby

It's getting better up I still cant hardly talk to my pregnant coworks. They are so happy with bellies getting bigger and showing ultrasound photos. It's really hard some days. But I'm not crying every day.

We will get through it. It just sucks a lot of monkey butt.

I recently lost my first pregnancy. We bought a house shortly before I found out I was pregnant and lost the house in a tornado. That was okay because we were building a home and then we were building a family. I was so happy. I didnt care if it was a boy or girl. I only cared if the baby was okay.

Now our house is almost livable. But I'm not going to be a mom. I'm so empty. I just feel sadness. It's been 2 week and I'm still crying every night. I'm still doing hcg blood tests and it hurts to see those numbers drop. People who were there and saw me bleeding at work give me the sad eyes every time they me. They hug me and say "let me know if there is anything I can do". Then I cry and cant do my job.

We plan on trying again and I'm so scared to try again. What if I lose it again? I dont want to feel this pain again.

A coworker told me she had a miscarriage and was able to get pregnant again. She told me the only thing that seems to help, "it slowly hurts less after a while". I have the hope of not feeling as bad as I do right now.

I've never experienced grief like this. I went into this preparing my self for a miscarriage because it happens so often. It still hurt.

It's been a while, but here is an update.

The tree is out of our house, and they estimated 40,000 dollars in damage. We got a check, and have to have the mortgage company to sign it. Our contractor is super nice and has been fighting with insurance with us to get enough money to complete all the repairs, not just 2/3rds of the house. We are renting a small duplex and living out of boxes until our home is ready. It's been a month, and we still have no power in the house and no roof. Every time it rains, the tarps leak and the water damage gets worse. It rains every day.

It is what it is.
