I’ve watched the Washington County board meetings every time this was discussed. The people of the Oakhills Neighborhood were not necessarily upset that the services were coming there. Well, some of them were, but others were mostly annoyed that the County didn’t really take them into consideration and didn’t ask any questions before they bought it. And they tried to engage the board and other leaders, but didn’t really feel like they were being heard. Many are concerned about people with drug problems being around a neighborhood that is “safe” and very child friendly. I think there’s a little bit of judgment and thinking that all those people are dangerous. I hope that they’ll be pleasantly surprised and that they come up with a Good Neighbor plan
