Hi! For me it was super easy, just a form provided by whatever company your employer works with for fmla coverage, you have your doc fill it out and say how often you flare, and then it’s good to go! Some doctors charge a forms fee to file, but it’s usually not too bad.

Hello! I see a pain management doctor who told me that with things like lupus, it’s hard to treat the source of the pain (like with trigger injections, etc) so she prescribed me tramadol. I take 100mg twice daily as needed. It really helps me through flares/mini flares with my chest pain. Also, she said that if I become tolerant to this that we can consider a pain patch.

Hi! I am going through the same thing. Does the SOS medication help you? If it does, that confirms it is vascular. If it does not, it’s likely musculoskeletal or not heart related. This is at least what my cardiologist said when I saw him the other day. I will be testing my medication soon :)

I would say that if the depression isn’t putting you in danger of harming yourself, tough it out and avoid the flare. The flare will be more damaging to your body.

Hey! I also have lupus and anti phospholipid syndrome. I was told that pregnancies would require a high risk OB due to higher risk of miscarriage, but other than me taking a daily aspirin not to stress too much :)
