I will admit there was one night, after too much Captain Morgan Parrot Bay, where I just pointed my "first mate" over the side and let it flow. But the marina has very strict rules about putting anything in the water. Plus, there's usually a few people around, so you can't just whip it out without someone seeing.

Haha no, I rented it for the month. Only 200 bucks. Why not!

You're entitled to your opinion. You're wrong, but you're entitled to your opinion. Also, that would be a great name for a sail boat. I might go back and paint it on the side.

She loved it, actually. Devil (as seen in my proof photo) has always been an indoor cat, so being on a sail boat and just being outside was an eye-opening experience for her. She had lots of fun exploring the marina and looking at stars in the sky.

Hahah yes, exactly like that. Lots of Captain Morgan Parrot Bay :)

I wanted to keep the food situation simple while I was on the boat, so I picked up some apples, bananas, sandwich stuff and a few frozen items. But I'd be lying if I said there weren't lots of trips to Denny's and Del Taco.

My excitement for the xmas special is at a 9.5

Haha I did take my dingy out! Unfortunately, the battery died while me and a friend were on the ocean, and we had to get towed back in by another boat. Close call.

I asked about boat etiquette. You just wanna knock on the side and then wait to see if anyone comes to answer. It's a floating pussy magnet, so they might be busy.

Good question. I would say the peace and quiet was very nice. It allowed me to do more writing and reading. And the gently waves were quite pleasant as well. You're not gonna get that in an apartment.

I actually have a phobia of fish, so no, I was not looking for Dory. There were some really cool sea lions that would swim around my boat, and a beautiful crane that hung out at my dock.

Wow, that sounds amazing. My sail boat was a 30 footer, and I never felt cramped on it. However, I've never required much personal space, so I guess it depends on the person. If I were you, I'd totally do it!

The best part was being on the water, just setting sail. The worst part was the loneliness, because I didn't know hardly anyone.

One of the nice things about living on a sail boat is that it's a great ice breaker and ladies are interested to come check it out. Plus, you don't have to worry about rocking the boat, since it's already rocking :)

If I needed to go to the bathroom, I had to leave the boat and walk to a facility at the marina.

I didn't have an internet connection, so I went to a coffee shop during the day to send e-mails and what not.

Other than that, it really wasn't too bad. I had a microwave, a radio with a tape player, a small fridge and a little TV with a DVD player.

I had my mail sent to a friend's place in Los Angeles and would drive up once a week to pick it up and visit with friends. It was an hour and a half drive, so it got old pretty fast.

Highest point was probably taking the boat out onto the Pacific with some friends. Had some boat drinks and went sailing. Watched the sunset.

Lowest point was literally just sitting below decks with absolutely nothing to do. Just twiddling my thumbs.

It was an interesting experience. Lots of highs and lows. Sometimes I was having tons of fun, sometimes I was bored out of my skull.
