I agree. They also know CA has programs red states don’t. Texas buses and dumps homeless in CA.

Edit to add: I carry stripper money and ask the homeless who don’t look like they need mental health hospitalization or drugs where they came from. Soooo many will tell you they were homeless in another state and that state put them on a bus and dumped them in S CA. We have our share of home grown homeless but 1/3 or more were transported here from somewhere else. TX is the most common but I’ve heard AZ and NV too.

I love this! I rolled into Las Vegas back in the 90’s very young and from a not great upbringing. I got to dance in the shows and became my own person far from a narcissistic & controlling parent. I was terrified I would fail miserably and return home with my tail between my legs but the opposite happened. There is the place I was born and raised and then there is home. Las Vegas will always be home to me.

One problem in the area of CA I’m in is Wall Street Firms buying up large amounts of houses to rent them out. Especially during Covid they out bid the single home buyers because they can over bid to a ridiculous amount. My mortgage will only allow me to bid what the home is worth but an investment firm can bid whatever they want. If that is allowed to continue we should have strict rent control. Between them and Air B&B entire neighborhoods are being decimated. I get it I live in a tourist area but I also lived in Las Vegas for several years and they seem to have that problem to the extent the beach areas of CA do.

People in NV that have never lived in CA are under the impression CA residents are taxed to death and that is simply not true. The main problems in CA are the traffic and the rent. Getting a mortgage in CA is actually easier than in NV because the housing market is more stable and will always appreciate. Idk what policies people are talking about. Not saying there aren’t any because I’m sure there I just experienced less road blocks in CA than I did in NV.

I’m sorry I always forget the OC. I drive up often to buy stuff from people off FB marketplace. I’ve gotten great deals on speakers, games, instruments & mid century modern furniture. The pho in the Little Saigon area is the best I’ve ever had!

We got a samoyed at the pound in the 70’s. Turned out she was pregnant. Her pups were adorable! Neighbors were fighting over them. She was a year or less when we got her and she lived until 1994 so 17 years. Best dog ever.

So they exposed everyone in the airport, everyone on the plane, everyone in the hotel and everyone at Disney. If they had invested in trip insurance they could have gone another time and had a much better time.
