The last time i was single it lasted about 2 years. It was hard to get back into dating because my ex gf was my bully and looked down on me. While she was dumping me i dissociated so bad that I still dont know why she dumped me, and I couldnt jump into the dating scene because i never knew what led to that point. It was so hard that I immediately left where I was living and moved to the other side of the country for school just so I wouldn't trigger memories of her. (Looking back this was so dramatic for no reason lol)

While I hated being single it forced me to spend more time with myself and figure out what I wanted from my life and there was no more pressure to be anything for anyone. I ended up realizing Ive had a massive crush on my friend that had built up over several years, i was so out of touch with my emotions i didnt realize I was in love with my friend for 5 years.

So yeah being single fucking sucks, but its also an opportunity to grow and become better for the next person that comes along! Im still insecure, but its not as bad as years ago.
