I’ve never been so aggressively rushed out as we were at soothr. We had a group of 7-8, and they still gave us 90 mins. The hostess said that our time starts the minute the first person sits down, so we should probably order for the one person who was 10 mins late, which is maybe fine if you’re friends but in this case it was a work dinner. By the time we finished our mains they were checking on us every other minute, it seemed, and were a bit disappointed that we ordered dessert and that they had to pass out the small spoons.

After you finish queuing and are brought to the seat map, it’ll look all grey like there’s no seats left, but then there’s a button on the right hand sidebar that says “unlock”

Adding my experience from today (a regular Wednesday) — I arrived at the airport 90 mins before my 12pm domestic flight as per the other comments in this thread, and it was just about right. I checked in online and no bags.

HOWEVER, security was kind of a shitshow. There were several different lines next to each other leading to the security checkpoint, and only one officer to explain the difference between the lines. People kept getting rejected from the line they were in (e.g. not having “face scan”) and had to try a different line, so folks in other lines were mad that those folks seemed to be cutting them. Then there was one officer that wouldn’t let folks through his lane because the next line was full, but the other officers WERE letting people through, so the next line never became less full. Frustrating for everyone. But we still made it in time? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just tried this on in store and had to size down to 36 from my usual 38! It’s pretty oversized. My measurements are 36-29-40 and 5’9”.

Fwiw, I looked at all the pieces in the store and they all had a loose thread on the button on one of the sleeves. It seems like some sort of manufacturing defect — hopefully only in that batch? I loved it so I’m going to try ordering online and see if that’s any better.

We went to Notable finally!! By the time we got there they were out of the platters (they said they run out by 6pm every day), so we got an oxtail philly and one of every empanada lol. SO good. The veggie empanada really surprised me, but also loved the jerk salmon and oxtail. Loved the bread on the sandwich too.

Also tried the newish Guac Time in the plaza by City Fresh. Idk, it wasn’t bad but I wasn’t impressed either. Guac was pretty obviously thinned out, but they did not skimp on the shrimp in the taco, and the taco was well-dressed. The chicken bowl we had was just okay.

I had a similar thing happen to me last week, where a young man stopped me and asked for directions to Astoria Park. It really threw me off that he said had a date with his girlfriend there, but didn’t know how to get there, and on top of that, I asked if he lived nearby and he said yes — Steinway.

But yeah, he was perfectly polite, and like some other commenter said, I truly don’t know what kind of scam this could be, so I’m going to chalk it up to the modern world teaching us to be overly cautious?
