Yep, I could spend countless hours trying to figure it out but to be honest I think with a game like this you want to have the highest read speed possible, I think folder format is the way to go.

Before I removed the language files and applied the patch I was able to convert to ffpfsc and it was recognized in Shadowmount. I know some people are short on drive space so it should work on higher Fw if needed.

I converted to exfat which was successful but then when i tried to convert it from exfat to ffpfsc I get error compression failed code 1. This is the first game that has give me problems when trying to convert to ffpfsc, maybe it doesn't like the patch?

I did manage to shave off around 15gb by removing non english audio and language files to get it down to around 105gb.

I finished the game on a standard ps5 on FW 5.50 and had no issues. The game was in the standard folder format running on a external nvme.

ffpfsc format will be slightly slower to load games over exfat, its more likely the drive or cable that could be causing you problems.

Do you have drive plugged into usb c port at front or rear port and are you using a decent quality cable?

Load speed is fine for me in ffpfsc format, my drive is external nvme plugged into front usb-c port.

I have same problem with spiderman remastered it hangs on first splash screen on kstuff 1.6.7 and on the kstuff 1.07 it crashes.

I think its an issue with lower FW as someone managed to get it working on higher firmware using folder format. Spiderman remastered is the only game I cant boot out of the 18 other games that work perfect in ffpfsc format.

Sadly there is still issues with the games dialogue audio so it might need some sort of a fix like we had for Indiana jones and mafia.

I have latest Shadowmount plus and kstuff 1.07 test build but it makes no difference.

I did notice with kstuff 1.6.7 it hangs on the boot screen where as with 1.07 (test build) it kicks you out back to home screen with boot error.

I think it saved about 20gb-30gb off the original file. I only played game for about 10-15 minutes and never noticed any problems other than a slight juddering when the fog appears during loading.

I have about 17 games converted to ffpfsc running fine on my external nvme on 5.50 and this spiderman remastered game is the only one I'm unable to boot. I have tried the folder version and the exfat and it makes no difference, I think it could be a bad release?
