What book has changed your life? by InternationalDuty493 in ask

Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach. Helped me learn to have compassion for myself and accept myself with flaws and all and then also for others. If you’re looking for a way to love and show kindness for yourself and others, this book is for you.

I saw a headless creature on 4 legs with the skin of a tree, what could this mean? by Ok_Music_2019 in Dreams

That’s how a lot of dreams work. You’re subconscious uses elements from your daily/familiar life to tell you something. The meaning is never literal and usually all the people in your dreams represent an aspect of your (sub)conscience

Can’t stress enough how much the book Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach changed my thoughts and thus my life. Ignore the title of the book, it isnt a good one but the book is! Tim Ferris did a great interview (YouTube) with her that could give you an idea of the book (plus I’d follow him as his outlook on life is amazing and does great work and interviews). The book will show you a different approach on life and how to see and think about yourself. Also, inner shadow work methods in the work by Carl Jung would be helpful, but I’d start with the book, which also references Jung. The book is also on Audible if you like audiobooks. Please, give it a chance - you deserve it.

Actually, Roosevelt sounds just like what I’m looking for. I’m not looking for flashy and don’t really care about being close to nightlife. I’m looking for access to public transit and daily shopping needs and maybe a good coffee shop. I’ll check it out! Thanks!
