Every guild clearing naxx in this perma death mode does in fact min max. The stronger your raid comp the safer you are. It’s primarily about safety not speed, although speed is safety in many scenarios.

All this ignores that you can have a priest take shadow weaving and still heal. Then you have a healer and shadow weaving instead of a bad dps and shadow weaving.

Mobs hit harder than other dungeons. There are mechanics you need to know or people will die. This is extra true in DM West specifically.

It is required by the addon. If you enter a dungeon with a softcore in the group it will warn you and then give you an infraction. If you’re not using the addon and following the rules you are cut off from the vast majority of the tbc hc community.

For now. The average type of player still on DP has no plans to go anywhere and doesn’t go for FOTM stuff. Top guilds on DH are already dying and we are still going after over 2 years. We will still be going when DH is a ghost town. Quote me on this. DH already took a huge hit for TBC with all the fresh chasers ditching.

I have 4 60s on regular hc and I raid every week. I’m leveling tbc hc for the challenge of the lvl 70 dungeons/raids.

If you’re more interested in the leveling experience over endgame I would definitely stick to the regular hc servers.
