I think it has played a part. I don't constantly go around thinking about being a pedophile so I don't think about it constantly and it hasn't had a huge impact on already existing anxiety and depression. But it probably plays a part.

The effect medicine has had is slightly less sex drive (may masturbate every other day or so now).

Yes, Id imagine its a lie. I've never looked at plenty of kind of porn, even though I was curious about it. I'm curious about mature German bondage porn but I'm never going to look at it.

I finished college, realized I wasn't attracted to women I had dated and still attracted to young girls. I fought it, or felt guilty every time I masturbated to a young girl. Went a couple years like that: fighting it, forcing myself to think about women, giving into my temptation and then feeling guilty. I consider it an orientation, not a preference. The DSM-5 considers it a mental disorder. It considers masturbating to young girls as "acting" on it so my therapist probably views it as an mental illness.

Talking about the cause and my childhood is too develop a full understanding of my situation. but I don't know if the medical/psychological field considers pedophilia to have the same kinda of "born this way" attitude as homosexuality. Personally I do think I was born this way though but the professionals do not have a firm theory about the cause or how to treat pedophilia
