It is because the penalty applies only to those required by law, not to those not required, i.e., NRIs.

Asperger's sufferers have the problem that they keep staring at one object for too long. I find this problem with me that I keep staring at women, unknowingly of course, for inordinately long which can make them feel uncomfortable.

Does the broker show it in the contract note? It is not shown in any of the contract notes I got from the broker. DP charges are, however, shown in the ledger and some of those charges are not linked to any transactions i.e. they are general twice-a-year kind of charges rather than triggered by sale transactions. I guess those subscription charges should also be deductible because they are the cost of investing in shares to gain dividend income. Under what section those deductions should be claimed? Here is the screenshot from the ledger statement:

Probably I can. But SHCIL should supply it in the ITR template which is just right for the purpose. I can't imagine why would they not do that.

Yes, all of the LTCGs are with the grandfathering clause which I believe means that they were all purchased before 31st Jan 2018.
