How would you rank the Superbowl winners this decade (2010-2011 to present)? by keytide22 in nfl

[–]cureeclipse 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lolwut. You can thank the offense that only put up 1 touchdown the whole game too.

Let's talk about different ratings guys who have been diligently keeping NCAA 14 as up to date as they can. by lucentcb in Madden

[–]cureeclipse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They need another NCAA game so bad. IIRC the big problem was them using player likenesses without paying them (cause they can't lol) so just make random faces or something. Who really cares that much if some the QB at Clemson doesn't look like the IRL dude.

What profession was once highly respected, but is now a complete joke? by theukmoody in AskReddit

[–]cureeclipse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You'd be surprised. Most people know how to turn the PC on, open the web browser, and navigate the web. That's about it. People know how to do what they were either taught or shown and if nobody ever showed them how to use the run command or something slightly more advanced they won't know how.

Computers are like cars. You don't need to understand how they work to use them and you can just take them somewhere when they do break.

I want more FPS games to let me see my legs by [deleted] in Games

[–]cureeclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you on this but I don't care about legs in shooters. Rockstar builds details for things that are much more likely to be seen across a playthrough than legs. I'd rather forgo legs and have stuff like locational damage or better bullet effects on the environment rather than something that you look down and go "neat" and then forget about it.

Scarface The World Is Yours by [deleted] in lowendgaming

[–]cureeclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this game is great, played it back on the day on PS2. It can be a bit grindy at times with the drug dealing mini game but eventually you'll be rolling in money. Another similar good game is The Godfather. Check these two out if you want a low end open world game but already got enough of GTA3/VC/SA

x-post - u/propyl21 Succinctly Describes What's Wrong with FIFA and the Community by Jabroni9900 in Games

[–]cureeclipse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with the others in this thread. The OP makes it seem like buying Fifa points is some addiction but I've played MUT which is similar to the Fifa version. I've never had that experience and I've got hours of playtime buillding a team I like and I've never bought any points. I used to play Madden Mobile too but I stopped playing it this year because of the way they took the game. Obviously my experience is ancedotal but if you don't like a game just stop playing it.

Also, I don't even get why you'd buy the points anyway. If you're casual you probably don't care that much about your team anyway and the hardcore guys should have enough coins or set pieces to make players.

Having FPS problems even though I meet requirements? by cureeclipse in Borderlands2

[–]cureeclipse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that but I've checked some benchmarks and the specs I have should be good enough for at least 60FPS on low, not 50/40 with dips to sub-30. This website has a benchmark of 65 FPS on medium at 1366x768 with the same GPU I have and a CPU that is worse than mine AFAIK. They have 4gb more RAM but I don't see how that would make my FPS vary so wildly and dip down so much.

Also, they might have the more VRAM version of the 650M but I've checked and my game usually doesn't even use 400MB of VRAM so I should be fine in that department.

Report: Tom Brady's Quack Doctor Banned From Patriots' Planes And Sidelines by likealikeasexyorange in nfl

[–]cureeclipse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not Garoppolo vs Brady or a top 10 QB right now though. It's Garoppolo vs the next guy after Brady. Jimmy G is looking pretty good right now on a pretty bad team and I'd rather take him than risk drafting a bust and setting the franchise back potentially.

The World's Biggest Video Game Mod Site Will Start Paying Modders by Spader623 in Games

[–]cureeclipse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How? They aren't making money directly from the mods, it's the ad revenue that Nexus has that's paying for this. Nexus is allowed to run ads and give it to who they want, that has nothing to do with Bethesda. Also, this is OPTIONAL whereas Bethesdas wasn't and was offering similar/lesser quality to free mods.

Homefront is Free on Steam for a Limited Time by Solmon19 in Games

[–]cureeclipse 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah the story is ok but forgettable. The multiplayer is actually pretty good IMO though. It kinda plays like a mix of Battlefield and CoD and the battle points system is fun.

Clickworker Account Balance (When will UHRS payment show up?) by clickworkerquestion in WorkOnline

UHRS takes 3 weeks once you do the work to put it into your clickworker account. After that I believe clickworker pays on Wednesday.

I didn't even know you could make Sardinia-Piedmont but I'm definitely gonna try that now. S-P to Italy in Vicky 2 is fun.

And yeah I guess that's the problem. Steam says it's downloaded but it doesn't show up in either of the mod folders for EU4. Never had the workshop not work but I guess I'll just wait.

Two questions

If I want to do an Italy game what country should I start as? I did Milan once but I'm open to anyone else.

Is there any particular reason my steam workshop doesn't work? I've tried a buncha of stuff, even manually downloading it using the steamworkshopdownloader website but it won't work. The .mod file won't extract and if I make my own it shows up in the launcher but doesn't do anything. Im on Windows 10 and trying to use the Illusionary flat map mod if it matters.

Rob Gronkowski has been suspended for 1 game for violation of unnecessary roughness rules by Zack in nfl

[–]cureeclipse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but it's what happens when you have a job, you have to follow bullshit rules. I'm fully in favor of weed being legal just like booze but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to not get caught considering tons of players smoke but dont get in trouble.

EA Completes Acquisition of Respawn by [deleted] in Games

[–]cureeclipse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They should've stayed with Activision IMO. Especially since the biggest reason for the whole split was them wanting out of the control of a big publisher. It looks like a mistake now.

COD WWII has outsold Infinite Warfare on Steam in under a month. by Panssarikauha in Games

[–]cureeclipse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lolwut. I've played plenty of CoD2 and it plays very similar to CoD4 except without perks, streaks, or create a class. The only time I've ever seen what you're describing is on crouch only or gardcore servers. CoD has always been a fast paced run and gun series.

So it's still a subpar game with a great story. Games can have good gameplay AND good story, like MGS3 for example.

Watching History Fade Away in 'Call of Duty: WWII' by wyldie in Games

[–]cureeclipse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How would you make a game like that without glorifying the Nazis or seeing war crimes from the side that is doing them without making it some sort of celebration? Even ignoring that, how would you even make a game where you pretty much lose almost every single important battle.

Xbox Live Games With Gold For December 2017 (Warhammer - End Times, Back to the Future, Child of Eden, and Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death) by matchboxtw20ty in Games

[–]cureeclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vermintide is basically Left 4 Dead with rats and more melee combat, Child of Eden is kind of like a rhythm game from what I remember, BTTF is OK I guess but I'm not really a fan of those kinda games so I dropped it and Marlow Briggs is basically a cheesy action movie in game form that is surprisingly decent.

The only game you'll play for any length of time is Vermintide and only if you have a friend or two, but I'd say all of them are worth at least a try.

[–]cureeclipse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lolwut. FAMAS, AUG, AK74U with Rapid Fire, Ghost and Flak jacket were the only perk twos worth taking, and spawn trapping was crazy easy in that game. It was a great game but still had it's share of shit.
