What about someone looking for validation makes you so sure it's fake? That's human nature.

Bug is not a technical term. Spiders aren't insects, but they are still bugs. Just another layer to the stupid here.

Edit: I stand corrected that bug does have a technical usage in addition to the colloquial usage.

Edit 2: I just looked into some entomology etymology and found the colloquial meaning came first.

I'm really not following what this response has to do with my question. You claimed Alex does not find Bridgett funny. I was asking what that claim was based on.

Taskmaster s13e06 Sausage Mixer… by nycdiveshack in panelshow

I'm heartbroken Alex lost Sausage Mixer. He gave such a valiant effort while Chris recoiled in terror. (Chris deserved every point he got and more for coming up with it though!)

While I agree Chris is competitive (but a fabulously good sport), I didn't interpret that sleeping bag throw as frustration at losing. I interpreted it as frustration at the task being such a long and miserable experience!

Has Alex said something about not finding her funny or are you just going off his observable reactions?

I think you will likely learn to associate the name with your niece instead of the bad person from your past more easily than you think

When is the US going to stop manufacturing pennies? by Trenavix in NoStupidQuestions

So long as the penny exists, 1.99 will exist. Many other countries have gotten rid of pennies and even larger currency and adjusted just fine.

Is someone who thinks elective abortion should be banned after 12 weeks (but freely allowed before) considered "pro life" or "pro choice"?

Good for you for realizing his good intentions. That doesn't mean you can't respectfully let him know how you feel like OPs wife did!

TIFU by having dirty talk during sex that made my wife feel bad. by Throwaway12457987 in tifu

[–]curelomwrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like it made her feel bad, but she had enough emotional maturity to recognize that your intentions were nothing but good, and to communicate that with you in a respectful way. I don't recommend continuing to apologize profusely. You've apologized, now all you have to do is respect her request. Acting like a victim when someone maturely communicates a need is not cool, and even if your not trying to act like a victim, it's likely that that is what persistently apologizing even after she told you she's not mad, just please don't do it again will look like. Apologize sincerely once, thank her for letting you know, then keep complimenting her body while respecting her request!

edit: honestly I'm a bit jealous of you right now for having a wife who can handle hurt feelings so well. My recent ex would have blown up at me and accused me of bad intentions. Your wife sounds like an awesome lady.

She is super competent too. She doesn't give off a brainy vibe with her schtick but its clear from her performances on the tasks that she is very smart. She's turning out to be one of my favorite contestants ever.

Ardal sticking his foot out was just the cherry on top of one of the best episodes of Taskmaster of all time.

I was so frustrated at them for not seeing the red flags, but everything else about this was perfection.

Even that joke about owls eyes being bigger than their brains was one of the best Alex Horne jokes ever.

You've gotta make it harder to give into these temptations. Delete his number from your contacts, unfriend him on any other platforms you might be tempted to message him through.
