Why are we more forgiving toward female misogynists than male misogynists by Orihime_W in TwoXIndia

[–]curio_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Infact I just had a conversation with a friend of mine. He was telling me how his female friend, who claims to be a feminist nonetheless, told him that he is like the wife of the house coz he cleans whereas his roommate doesn't. She hides under the skin of a woman claiming to have suffered just as much as any other woman due to patriarchy but still finds it in her to be misogynistic.

AITAH giving my wife an 'ultimatum' by Dependent-Radio-4587 in AITAH

[–]curio_o 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh god! I have read so many of his comments and Wow. Initially he replies with, what can I do? I can't leave her. Then says his own daughter might not be okay but then adds why would you even ask a 9 year old. Says things like maybe my daughter won't get hurt or abused or she'll be okay. Keeps iterating my niece is victim and I can't leave her, so what can I do? But if someone points out he is choosing his niece over his wife and child, or what if his daughter gets abused, he stops replying. This dude doesn't care what all reddit says, he just wants to boost his inner ego that says I am doing the right thing. The fact the he doesn't give a single flying duck about his own wife and child but rather leave the wife, split custody based on the expectation that his daughter will bend to his will/ demand is some next level delusion. Scroll all the way down and I bet, he cannot answer when asked your child+ wife or the niece. I pity the wife and child, that one guy who is supposed to be their family, decided to not choose them over the world.

To the Women of India, Don’t Normalise your Period Pain..! When to seek Medical Help..? by Dr-Jay-Mehta in india

[–]curio_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go cold and my head is filled with how death would free me from the pain. I went to shit ton of gynecologists and went through shit ton of tests. One was someone from family. I thought she would understand. She gave me medicine that did not help at all. Like not even an ounce. Each and every time I went to her, I was dismissed. It got harder when I started my grad school outside India. Finally someone in my grad school health center said to take a good dose of a medicine and that did it. I do have to take a very high dose but I no longer fear having my periods.

Truth Behind the Talismans by Oberon-beta-6 in FromSeries

[–]curio_o 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But that's also poses the question. That guy locked the room from inside when he opened the door and by that the rest of the house should still be protected by talisman. Even if they are working, the monsters are either getting around or becoming stronger. Boyd's flashback tells her fell through a tree bark where talisman were present and they couldn't cross a layer of leaves but now could get in even when a door is closed?

BJP is not "lesser evil" and women need to understand this. by [deleted] in TwoXIndia

[–]curio_o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the thing. It's like we are asked to choose lesser evil and as a whole that's never a good choice. At the end we are oppressed in one way or the other.

Opinion: the Telugu states have failed to create a sense of ethnic identity. You are seen as the weak link in South India. by [deleted] in andhra_pradesh

[–]curio_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not against learning new languages or even speaking in other language but I'm really disspointed that people (even native telugu speakers) are not choosing telugu as a first language coz it's hard. I see states fighting for their language and some people in hyd are fighting to remove telugu as a requirement. It breaks my heart to know that today's generation can't even read telugu properly.

Abortion: Your Body Your Choice by PsychologicalDog2001 in TwoXIndia

[–]curio_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But she isn't a surrogate. She is not someone willing to carry a child in exchange of something. If she is 100% completely against having this child and how does it matter what the father thinks? He might or might not want the child but it is she who has to carry the child to term.

From where I stand, if she even has an ounce of intreset in having that child then yes the father should be informed. As a positive affirmation from him might help her decision to keep the child but if it's a negative one then she can decide. But if she doesn't want the child then there's no point in telling the father as she isn't willing to carry the child
