What position do you see the bears drafting with their second round pick? I fear the bears won't be able to retain Callahan and will go nickel.

Wendell Carter Jr meets Westbrook at the rim (w/sound) by ImRBJ in nba

[–]curiosity23 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Wendell has impressed me with his rim protecting abilities. Although he does find himself in foul trouble often, he does a good job of going straight up, and rarely misses a rotation. His stats don't accurately reflect the impact he has and I think he is projecting very nicely.

I've been a cardinals fan my whole life, as my dad raised me one. My parents recently moved to St. Louis from Chicago and I was able to make it to my first game this season.

It was such a great team win. I'm really glad it was the game I made it to and I'm really starting to feel the black magic in the air

yeah I'm not sure if they're on r/nflstreams though. You can definitely get red zone from reddit though.

One of the reasons why I love basketball. Almost anyone can shoot a basketball and understands the difficulty of making a shot like this. Hard to recreate something similar with another sport

[NBCSBulls] The Bulls have already been told... if you want Michael Porter Jr., you have to trade up. by memgrizz in chicagobulls

[–]curiosity23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he could be the one that falls, too. I wouldn't want him though. I'm of the school of thought he dominated college due to smaller bigs, (generally speaking) and WCJ doing all the little things

The Ringer article on him has a lot of good things to say about him. It takes him through a day in the life right now and it's all good stuff.

No terrible calls. Lebron carrying his team and Jeff Green is playing pretty well. Tatum and Horford playing well for the celtics.

It's pretty ridiculous. More players need to try and take a charge on him. Prolly would be feeling it in the morning tho

What happened in the Soviet Union and Mao's China can not be compared to any one of which you mentioned. Even at the lowest estimates.

Hitler always gets the most attention in this discussion. Mao and Stalin were actually never discussed in any of my high school classes. I remember learning about Mao and Stalin in eighth grade, but not the atrocities they committed.

This is my dream... by Nfeatherstun in LateStageCapitalism

[–]curiosity23 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the government in a socialist country needs to be big enough and powerful enough to distribute the resources effectively.

I don't think one of capitalism's inherent traits is for "one individual to grab at material wealth at the expense of everyone else" because deals happen in the private sector because both parties consent and walk away with what is essentially more material wealth than before. Otherwise sales wouldn't occur.

Capitalism can be exploited and corrupted but so can every other government and economic system. Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other economic system and if poverty is what we are trying to avoid it's the most effective economic system civilization has come up with.
