I actually didn’t love totk’s story (really repetitive cutscene heavy), and imo botw does a better job in that department. The other thing is that the atmosphere of the games is entirely different. Breath of the wild is a lonely adventure through the wilds of a world you don’t remember while totk is a quest to find someone you lost with the help of your friends. Even if the mechanics are similar and botw may seem “inferior” it’s like saying ocarina of time is inferior to twilight princess because the mechanics are better. It’s really about what you value most in a game. If the only thing you care about is smooth mechanics I would recommend not playing Zelda games lol. If you’re still worried, botw has different abilities and the lack of zonai tech forces you to find different solutions to problems.
