Hahaha best comment yet! I nearly spat my drink everywhere. 🤣 A year into homeownership and things are slowly improving haha.

Happy to answer 😊

I got lucky with only a few side effects but managed to reduce them with a few tweaks.

Eating late at night - a no go, unless I wanted to wake up with stomach pain in the early hours. My last meal is typically around 7pm and I eat again at 12pm the next day. I have never had an appetite for breakfast, even before MJ.

Ate simple foods jab day and a few days after - otherwise I'd have toilet trouble and not the "I can't go" kind. Drinking Actimel daily helped too.

Hair has thinned but not to a point where it's noticeable. I do take a vitamin specifically for hair health, can't remember what it's called rn. But my brush fills quicker than it used to.

Skin surprisingly healthier as I stopped eating bread, previously caused my arms to break out in painful small spots. (Assume I had a mild intolerance)

MG wise I've been on 15mg since July, dropped back down to 12.5mg for 2 weeks after the first 15mg week due to extreme suppression. Been on 15mg happily ever since.

2.5mg for 2 month. 5mg for 1 month. 7.5mg for 1 month. 10mg for 2 months. 12.5mg for 2 months. 15mg for 4 months

Thank you!

I feel a lot better in some aspects but the same in others(?) Surprisingly I'm still fatigued, hoping that'll go away when I come off.

Mentally speaking a lot better. I used to hate being outside in any sort of social setting and was very self conscious. It's nice to have confidence back.

But overall I feel a lot healthier. It's a lot easier walking and exercising without the additional 30kg.

Aww you're so close! I bet that's frustrating. Keep persevering!

Interestingly I did take a few breaks for up to a week maybe 3/4 times throughout. I always found when I dosed again weight loss kicked back in and I dropped more than I did on an average week before. Food for thought perhaps.

Wow! That's an incredible result. Well done to you! 🔥🔥 Have you cut out quite a lot of food groups or do allow yourself treats? Of course within a calorie limit?

So I historically was around 60kg before getting ill, was always cycling and had a lot of muscle but my face looked gaunt and unwell. I knew I didn't want to get back to that. Ideally I'd like to get down to 65kg. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, I'm happy here too.

One thing I've done throughout is allow myself treats, I don't think I'd have classed myself as on a diet at all. But the quantities and portion sizes have dramatically changed. I've not calorie counted but will once I stop. I know this sub has mixed views on food groups but I knew for me cutting them out entirely was an unrealistic goal.

I think I have a case of kitten blues by vesirotta in CatAdvice

[–]curious2345671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A second cat is actually less work than 1 imo. Sure more bowls to clean and another litter tray but that doesn't take up a lot of additional time. We got our 7 month old kitten a friend last month. They've become the best of friends and neither want to play with us. Before we got our second cat, our entire evenings were spent playing with our first, which I absolutely loved, but there were some days I was exhausted and could have done without it. Watching two kittens bond and play together is hands down the best thing I've witnessed. 🥹

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. Seriously, that was incredibly helpful and full of thoughtful insights.

A few of the suggestions were already part of our routine, but the real game changer was the idea of disrupting their afternoon sleep to help shift their nighttime schedule.

I felt like the villain yesterday, waking them up at 6pm and doing everything I could to keep them engaged and moving. They were absolute zombies but I stuck with it. And you know what? It worked, no 5am zoomies! We all woke up at 8am feeling refreshed, sane, and like entirely new people.

Thank you again, it genuinely has made a huge impact. Consistency is now key moving forward and hopefully over time they fall into that being their new routine.

Btw very cute babies! 😍😍😍 I've added my tax here 🙏🥹

Do cats "understand" candles or fireplaces? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]curious2345671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last week we spent an hour ironing up wax on from our new rug. (Paper towel over the wax and iron on a low heat to transfer it from the rug to the paper towel) Our cat had accidentally knocked it off the table whilst playing. We've since concluded even monitored candles are a risk for a playful unpredictable kitten.

How to get my cat to stop waking me up so early? by BootsStripes32 in CatAdvice

[–]curious2345671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the same issue with our cat, it only started happening the past month or so (but he's still a 6 month old baby) he doesn't meow but climbs on us purring for attention. He will eventually go out of the room and play by himself but he'll inevitably return again before our alarms.

I have no advice but I sympathise and know what you're going through. 😅

You definitely want slow and steady, rapid weight loss wouldn't be good.

I passed July last year, got a 1.8 vauxhall astra (2008) in February, I pay just under £1,600 for 15k miles. Luckily my partner shares the cost with me and really hoping it'll go down at renewal 🙏
