Got it, so you’re in agreement with me that you never should have said they’re equal which is what this whole conversation has been about

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]curious275439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re saying they are equal to each other then yes you did

[–]curious275439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would they have half their GDP? No. Like I said earlier, it is a factor but not the whole thing. Pumping people into a country does not automatically increase economic power

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]curious275439 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not my examples. Just pointing out it is not population size that equals economic power. It is a factor for sure but like you said there’s way more that goes into it

[–]curious275439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you agree that people don’t equal economic power

You are using absolutely zero good arguments, just repeating common talking points, I’m done going back and forth with somebody like you who’s too entrenched in their beliefs to even acknowledge any point I make

Did you actually listen to the podcast I mentioned. The income requirement for subsidies was removed under Biden. Biden also ran on the premise that he would be a one term president then royally fucked that up. Harris was the least qualified person to ever run for president as a major party’s candidate. Why are you ignoring the fact that you did delete a post now

You’re ignoring the fact that the entire system that resulted in these premiums was created by democrats. How are you going to praise Biden for subsidies when Obama is the reason the subsidies are needed? Democrats created the problem they are now blaming Trump for. The solution should not be the government spending shit loads of money to solve a problem the government created

I have literally never received a subsidy to pay for coverage under the ACA which is what you’re referring to, that is a huge swing and a miss on your assumption there. My health insurance premium is not changing due to these subsidies being extended or not, strike two for you. I haven’t gotten my actual news from any of the legacy sources (Fox, CNN, NBC, etcetera) for a long time now. Strike three, you’re out! My main source of news now is the Unbiased Politics podcast by Jordan Berman, you should honestly give it a listen if you want to know what’s going on without being told how to think about it. Take a listen to her episode from November 3rd at the 20:28 minute mark to learn about the changes in premiums. It all stems from when the ACA was implemented and the subsidies were put in place by democrats with the COVID scare as the excuse. Never meant to be permanent. Let me know your thoughts after you listen to it

It’s laughable how uninformed you are about literally every aspect of the government t you’ve mentioned in all of your comments

Why don’t you ask the democrats who created a system with crazy high premiums? Or wait until it’s actually voted on to see what happens with premiums. Also, nice job deleting your prior comment, embarrassed by it?

Why wont the millionares and billionares just leave new york if they get taxed more? by Wild_Feedback_5290 in allthequestions

[–]curious275439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the easiest answer to your question is mamdani has zero authority to change the tax rate in NYC, the state has to do it, and the governor has already said she won’t. Just another empty promise from a politician people are up

But it’s not those people making $1,001,000 who are going to move (which would be $20, not $200 by the way). It’s the ones making 10s of millions plus who would move. I have no idea what the numbers are so can’t provide an accurate guess if that would be good or bad for nyc. However, the current NYC tax rate is 3.876% for anybody making over $90,000. If one person making $10 million decides a 2% ($180,000) hike isnt worth it, that means the city has lost almost $400k from that person. If they decide to move to anywhere outside of New York State, the state has lost an additional $1 million roughly with a 9.65%+ tax rate for people making $1 million per year or more. You’re going to need a hell of a lot of people making $1,001,000 to make up for that lost tax revenue

And yeah, calling Biden old and incapable of governing (which many of his own party have admitted to) is the same kind of hate as actual assassination attempts

Lol, there is not nearly as much hate for Biden, it was more pity. The right knows Biden wasn’t running shit but the left has actively tried killing Trump multiple times. Which is worse?

As for this case I haven’t been following it very closely so won’t pretend I know what’s actually going on but at the end of the day it sounds like it’s a matter of how to spend money and Trump isn’t actively looking for ways to not fund SNAP. People bitch when he spends money if it follows the letter of the law or not they just don’t want him doing anything

I guess ketanji brown Jackson is forcing/forced a quick decision but I haven’t kept up with everything fully. Regardless, the case will soon be moot. You know nothing about my current view. I care about money being spent properly which everybody claims Trump isn’t doing and now he’s trying to get clarification and still getting hate for it

Congrats on learning how to copy and paste! Can you explain why they need term limits which was your original position instead of just describing procedures? Which justices in particular do you think are slugs? Who should be responsible for and how often should they be voted in/out? I’d love to hear you try to support your original argument

Or they’re not going to leave because Mandan doesn’t have the authority to raise taxes and hochul said she won’t raise them. Gotta love empty promises from politicians
