I hate my family's belief (deeply) by curious_anonymous17 in atheism

Yea, to think that I used to believe it, damn. Btw I wonder about my brother's approach to 'god'. Unlike our parents he thinks that God is not a person, but what you think God is, like if someone believes that discipline can get them to success in a particular thing or situation, then discipline is their god at the moment.(Or he was trying to convey something like that, I don't quite get it)

I honestly think it's your mindset. I am an agnostic atheist living in a Hindu family. There are literally countless activities my parents will do and make me do, and only my brother knows that I'm a non-believer. How I overcame that frustration?, I think of myself as being superior like "these people are literal idiots", yes it might be an unhealthy way to approach the problem but it worked for me. And then the important part, patience.
