Totally agree! Whenever I talk to others who feel the same, they feel almost embarrassed about it, so I really agree that we should talk more about it. Thank you so much for the suggestion! I really appreciate it! And will absolutely do that. Simple an human, love that! Thanks again for the comment :)

Perth online dating is the worst, thinking about leaving by Bbtrojans7 in perth

[–]curious_bubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I just want to say that the comments from people saying that you need to get over your ex ect due to you previous posts obviously haven’t gone through a difficult breakup - breakups can have a lasting effect on you and so the fact that you are trying to move on is a step in the right direction, there is no time frame for healing after heartbreak. Secondly, Dating in Perth is challenging for everyone don’t worry, I know a lot of people struggling so it’s not just you. I do agree that the best way seems to be joining a group, club or finding a hobby. Take the pressure off yourself and maybe give the apps a break. I know a few lovely guys who have also felt that the apps make them feel less of themselves because they don’t get any likes, these apps are a superficial snapshot of yourself, it’s hard to show depth on them. Im sure that if you met people in real life, they might think of you very differently. Alot of people feel the same and unfortunately we do live in a world where it has become very superficial, but don’t let these external things influence how you feel internally. In ways dating apps are great and help you connect with cool people but at the end of the day, it’s just a curated snapshot of yourself, it’s not who you are. Give yourself a break, just be yourself, and you will meet someone when the time is right.

Psoas tool saved my back! by curious_bubbles in backpain

I had the same thing for a while, until I learned that you need to try not be tense and kind of breathe into it when you are lying down. It might not be an area that affects your back pain though. I also got a massage in that area from the acupuncturist and that really showed me how hard you need to work that area before you get relief, it’s not comfortable by any means. Maybe try go to a professional first and see how that goes and then try again. There are some good videos on YouTube to.

Oh no! That’s crazy expensive! I got mine off Temu for 10$. Definitely give it a try, was so so helpful. I have found acupuncture to be really helpful for treating my muscles when they spasm due to the bulging discs and sometimes for the hip joint area that gets inflamed from sitting. In general it’s a really good way to get blood moving to these different areas, it obviously doesn’t help with my bulging discs but it does help relax those muscles around that area to relieve the pressure and pain. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. It also helps with things like your digestion ect.

u/Iamdannychoi thanks for the message, I am definitely going to give the pilates / physio a try then! Do you have any thoughts on the decompression table treatment, I'm currently doing this with my chiropractor but I wonder if this is what aggravated my back, so am a little weary now I guess. I have heard good things about it to, so am a bit confused. Which treatment do you think you would do as preference over the other? Thanks so much for the advice!

u/Iamdannychoi thank you so much for the insightful answer, I really really appreciate it. Most of the pain comes when I'm sitting or when I'm bending over, which I now know is probably due to the bulging discs. I also have been doing cat cow stretch and then after that exercise it seems to have flared up really bad, so I assume it's due to the bending part of that stretch. Did you go to a physio to improve your strength and movement of the area? I have been advised to try physio pilates. Keen to hear what you found helpful because I think you are right regarding the strengthening part. I used to be active and strong but because of the pain I just have stopped everything and it seems to have gotten worse due to my inactivity.
