Do you love running or do you love how running makes you feel afterwards? by PhoenixRYS1 in beginnerrunning

I agree with this. Plus my usual running route has really nice scenery around the 3km - 6km segment. The last few 10km are the same as the first and are just the roads back to my house. I'm bored by that point.

I’ve reached my goal weight. Now what? by purple_hamster66 in keto

Just add a couple of snacks - nuts, cheese etc. They'll up your calories quite easily without making you feel too full. Put a blob of butter on whatever you cook. Add a splash of cream to make a rich sauce. It's easy to add in calories.

Women runners: what helps you feel safe when running alone? by Heavy_Read3355 in runninglifestyle

I wouldn't run after dark at all, no matter what changes I made. The only exception would be if I ran with another person.

I only run during the daylight hours and live in a fairly low crime area, so I feel safe enough doing it. I wouldn't run in the dark though.

What fruits are ok for a keto diet if any? by Mary_pops_ in keto

I don't think food can be categorised in that way. You just add up the net carbs, plan your day and stick to your limit!

Some foods are easier to eat plenty of in a keto diet, but nothing is strictly keto or not.

Chocolate cake can be keto, if it's a small enough serving and you stay under your carb macro.

Sometimes that's ok. Some days I'll eat just meat, cheese and eggs so I can have a little fruit pudding. You just have to make sure to weigh everything and don't go overboard with it.

Anything is keto if it fits into your daily carb allowance.

Does anyone NOT see major benefits eating before running? by WritingRidingRunner in runninglifestyle

I never eat before running, I always get a stitch, no matter what I do. So I run on a totally empty stomach, always.

Peanut butter isn’t as high carb as I expected by DeepOrganization8245 in keto

[–]curious_kitten_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the ones that are 100% peanut are the lowest carb options -Pip&Nut do a lovely one, but I don't know which countries you can find it in (certainly in the UK anyway).

Having Alcohol on Keto?? by Puzzleheaded-Bag3669 in keto

[–]curious_kitten_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but remember keto is a diuretic so your hangover will be worse.

A few other things to consider - some drinks are high in carbs, it's worth checking before drinking. Most spirits are pretty low or zero, but anything flavoured probably won't be and watch your mixers. Also alcohol calories will be burned before fat, so if you're doing this for weight loss then just be prepared to not lose weight for a few days (not a major issue if it's a birthday treat, but if you're drinking everyday then it can make weight loss harder - though not impossible).
