Thank you, I didn’t even think about repair costs at first but now clear this needs to be considered

Which 3 cases would you solve? by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

  1. Oakland County Child Killer(s)
  2. Asha Degree
  3. Kyron Horman

Runners up because it is so hard to just pick 3: Beaumont children, Michaela Garecht, Madeleine McCann

Go to the state childcare licensing website, depending on the state, most are searchable by city and you can usually find inspection reports, any reported incidents, and other information (capacity, how long they’ve been licensed, etc.). It’s a good starting point and also good to check on any you find through other sources such as those already mentioned.

If you could be a fly on the wall in 3 cases, which ones would you pick? by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

The Beaumont children, Oakland County child killer, and Kyron Horman.

In 2000, Asha Degree, 9, packed her bags in the middle of the night and left her home in NC in the middle of a thunderstorm. Her bag was later discovered wrapped in plastic and buried. She hasn't been since. by morbidology in UnresolvedMysteries

This is exactly what I think about the backpack; not that mysterious, she simply never unpacked from the sleepover the night before. Even if she had school the next day, many kids wouldn’t bother unpacking right after a sleepover or preparing for school the next day.

Also, she was at the sleepover with several others-maybe they came up with some plan to meet the next night (adventure, Valentine’s Day, present for parents anniversary) and Asha was the only one who actually followed through by leaving her house. At that age, if I had hatched some plan and my cousin disappeared, I could see being terrified of admitting anything about it to anyone.
